Hi to everyone,
I have been in discussion with my good friend Lolly Lawman and we are thinking of undertaking another Cancer Challenge early on next year. This is only in the idea stage so I am letting you all know in plenty of time. I am just putting this on here so we can see how interested everyone would be in helping us out with such a worthy cause and to try an make this even better than it was last year (is that possible)?? ::)
For the people that don't know myself and 8 of my fellow Northants Bar Billiards friends undertook a charity event in the aid of Cancer Research. We travelled around 8 counties in one weekend playing Bar Billiards and collecting money on our way. We raised an unbelievable amount of over £5,000 for the charity and also made a lot of new friends on the way and hopefully raised the profile of Bar Billiards.
The timing was key last year and everything worked great as we turned up to play our last game in Northampton at 8.00pm. I am actually thinking of doing a slight twist on last years event and taking on a 9 counties challenge as it would be nice to get Bucks on board! I'm not sure if this will be achievable but I will have a good look at multimap and get back to everyone.
Any comments would be appreciated from you all and I hope everyone will support us in some way.
Thanks everyone.
Jase PS Sparky................Handcross is a must!!!!!!!! ;D

Good to see you're doing it again, Massive2.
Somehow I missed out on the last one, was away that weekend for some reason (probably on a car owners club meet).
Anyway, will promise to drop whatever I'm doing and come to both the Sussex and the Surrey one this time.
Presumably the Surrey one will be at the Old Oak again, I noticed a plaque on the wall with a certificate signed by all of you guys which I thought was a very nice touch.

Wahey, about time!! ;D The last one you did was fab, we all had an excellent evening in Handcross. 8-) Cant wait for the next one, let me know if I can help in any way. If HVP is gonna be the driver, can he have another 'special' tshirt to wear again? Like last time but - BRIGHTER!!! Just to show off his fab charismatic personality. ::)

As you know Cambridgshire would be only too pleased to kick start the charity Tour like last year.

Jase
I can't wait to see Tommo, Jock and some other 'interesting characters' added to the previous members meeting you Northants boys at Handcross, it will be brilliant, come to think of it the return match (and 'later festivities' ;D) would be quite something eh!
Just let me know what's happening and we'll sort it. 8-)
PS HVP as one driver to another......get 'em rolling :D

Any ideas from everyone to enhance our 'challenge' would be most grateful.
Prospective venues, money raising ideas, anything please give us feedback.
I think it will be very hard to top the £5000 we raised last year, but boy we are up for the challange, so get your thinking caps on.
Thanks

Great news Jase. Myself and the rest of the Tunbridge Wells boys had a great day last time. I'm sure I'll probably end up with you in Redhill as well. :D

Thanks Well, first off, I think you Northants boys need to rediscover the art of 'Tarting it up'. ;) The Kipling Awards, recently announced, show that the top three places have gone to outsiders, with only Roo and the Colemanator appearing in the Top Ten. :-*

Hi Jason love to be able to help as well as the Lady H. I would imagine the Corner House in Oxford will help out again. Contact Bob Allsworth.

Thanks Kev. I know that Jase is going to work on a possible route. I think in most cases the venues used last year were perfect. But to also include Bucks, we may need to have a venue in Hants a little closer to Berks.
As for the frock HVP no chance......you seen my legs! :-[
Thought you looked pretty in pink though! ;D

What, you mean he gooogle-searches for them ? :o And there was me thinking that they're his own cats and he dresses them up (like my sister used to with ours) to pose for the snaps ! ::)

BUMP !
I think the sight of your dressed-up pussy has scared 'em off, Q !
Seriously, looking forward to this if Northants are considering repeating last year's Grand Tour.

Hi Jase
You can contact me for the Berkshire leg of the challenge. With more notice this year I'm sure you will raise even more than last year. I will bring it up for discussion at our READING AGM in March. Keep me posted Please.
