Hi Ladies....do not forget the Special Ladies Open takes place this weekend (25th Oct) at the Post Office Club, Reading 11.30 for 12 start. I haven't heard of many entries apart from Pauline Withey. It is open to all ladies. If you intend to go or know others that are going please let me know on here.

Hi Hayley, I have the results, for both open and ladies county and open and ladies individual singles, I will be sending them over to Sav after I have tidied them up a bit when I get the chance (probably at the weekend) so they should be on the All England website pretty soon.

Hi Nige, its Hayley. Kev has wandered off leaving the PC for two mins so I am grabbing my chance to use it.
About the scores for County thingy, they were put on here last year, that was what I was referring to not the AEBBA site. Just wondered if this years was going to be put on here.

News coverage of AEBBA's flagship events for our members has been to put it mildly sparse recently.
No report whatsoever on Div 3, despite it theoretically being a better competition this year, with double the number of teams, and Bucks and Cambs included.

All the results will be published soon please bear with me. You have to remember my priority at this time is sending Dave the formats for the competions and chasing up what teams/ individuals will/ won't be coming. Again this weekend (4th competition in 6 weekends) sees the All England team + special ladies, and with the last team only confirming yesterday, I am sorting out formats for Dave to send tomorrow. I always have to do more than one format because, in this case,I really have no idea how many ladies there will be. (I sent Dave four possible formats last weekend allowing for 1 lady/ 1 team not turning up on the day - as it does happen!)
However, people should feel free to write their own reports in here and there are a few thanks to KT and milko - I wasn't at division 3 weekend so me writing a report would just be based on results only - so come on guys if you were there - tell us what happened!
Don't forget the newsletter is out soon, should be available in Jersey, and will include (as usual) all the events that have happened in the last two months plus latest rankings, grand prix positions etc. and competition reports and (hopefully) some pictures too. I will send all full county details to Sav to upload onto the website.
I am not sure what people really want, I thought if the full results are available on the website, with reports available every couple of months in a newsletter should provide people with all the info they need. I could also put the reports on the forum but won't people be getting bored with the sound of my voice?!?! :)

Slightly off topic but: Nige was the only one prepared to do the work of 'Standin' Tournament Director I'm afraid. He did not want it, but got lumbered with it. No one else was prepared to do it and I think he's done a marvellous job since. This frenetic costcutting autumn schedule to avoid multiple hires must be a nightmare to all those who give their time to keep the nationals going. The tables will be based at Reading from the end of the year and perhaps this should be discussed at the AGM. From next year there will be no financial reason to spend the entire autumn weekends at Reading. Sav

Wow!! :o Ok, I wasn't criticising, I just asked a simple question :-/ And was only going by what happened last year.
I am happy to help and support - and I always offer! I usually end up putting chairs/tables away, clearing tables and help taking apart the BB tables.
If someone would like to send me ANY results, I am happy to type them up and put them on proboards ~ you only need to ask.
Not to worry. :( :(
