Duke of Wellington 4 1 Schooner A
Terry Molloy left both up on one up at just under 2.5k, Nigel Senior put in two 10k and 8K 18290-2480 1-0
Chris Tupper lost his opening break, then turned very scrappy, Dave Anscombe three times break back but only built 3k lead, Tupps knocked in 5k to play table out. 5750-3020 2-0
Bill Kerr with couple of breaks built just over 6k lead, John Perrin eventually got the balls back and ran table out just falling short. 6010-6380 2-1
Mal Spier opened with 7k, Tj balls back plenty of time only to cock up at 1.9k, both palyers a couple of small breaks, 9830-3650 3-1
With both Steve and Rick unavailable Chris Reeeves had a w/o, I foolishly sais I would give him a game and the break, he opened with 12k+, then was first to retrieve break running table out to end with 22k. Great to see this talented player start to look like his old!!! self, and certainly had the glint in his eye that said that prehaps about to enjoy the game again rather than it being a chore.
Well played Duke on a lovely top that I for one did no justice, as usual pizza to follow.

Three Horseshoes A 4 Windmill 1
A couple of very good performances last night against tough opponents.
Sir kt 9,590 v 1,310 Gina - Gina never got going in this one. Nor did I come to think of it, after two breaks, I still only had 3k on the board. My third attempt made it look decent. 1 - 0
Lolly 6,590 v 5,550 BB Warrior - Recently engaged Chris didn`t open with much and Dave soon took command, openeing up a 5k lead. Lolly then showed us what he can do with a spirited fightback, making 6k as the bar dropped. 2 - 0
Chocie 1,430 v 3,480 Charlie - 8.20pm, no Stu. Phone call to house, spoke to Alan "he`s in bed asleep"!!!!!. Anyway, he eventually made it for a game that was very scrappy, Charlie just doing enough near the end. 2 - 1
Bigjimsilverfox 13,840 v 170 Alan M. - Great opening break by Jim (11k+) putting the result beyond doubt. 3 - 1
Mr Reaper 10,830 v 2,270 Mick Pope - Mick off quite early and Kev took advantage with a nice 9k break. Why is it that whenever Mick plays us and has the break, the table always runs a minute & a half short ??? Answers on a result card to .................

A great evening all round with two black pegs and a game between Jay and Tony where the table seemed to confuse them both. Great food as ever too.

Old House at Home - 2 - 3 - Swan `B`. The table was not easy you had to consentrate all the time. Swan` B` took all three breaks with wins for Barry Holt, Brian Richards and Roger Taylor. Old House winners were Paul Barnett and Gary Ridley.
