Well ... we left Jersey from the World Championships for Southampton at 7am and finally landed Southampton at after 11am...
Chris N is not the best flyer in the world and I think today he faced his worst nightmare...
We left on time and were at final decent into Southampton when the Captain aborted the decent at the last minute ... no reason over the Tannoy just a 'Captain has aborted no need to worry'... well that didn't quite work for him.
10 mins later we are told that we cannot land due to fog and we will circle and hope it clears, if not we are going to Exeter or Cardiff if fuel gets low!! 1 hour later we are on the way to Exeter and land..
by now it is 10am and they are deciding whether to return via plane or coach back.
10.30 am we are told we will be flying.. he has now been on a plane for 3.5 hours
Up we go again .. this time we do land after 11am.. not an issue for some but hell for someone who hates flying
Well luckily the weekend put it all in perspective but don't want a flight like that again
Thanks to all organisers and especially Graham..
Well done Phil and Paul.. and yes Paul you were the first to suggest I was Newson ? and were there two??? « Last Edit: 9 Nov, 2009, 5:49pm by christoner »

Hi Chrisses,
Sorry to hear of your uncomfortable experience on the plane. But in retrospect, at least you were spared an equally uncomfortable and tedious 'connection' journey by coach back from Exeter to Portsmouth.
Two years ago our daughter's flight back from Menorca to Gatwick ( 2 miles away) was diverted to Birmingham and she, her husband and two kids had to endure an extra 3-hour coach journey back here - not nice.
May be seeing you two on the boat over and back next year
Well done to NewstheJuice on making it the the last 16, by the way.
