Hi, as the heading says I have a restored Jelkes table for sale. I've owned it for about 5 years in which time it has has had very little use and has been stored under a dust sheet in my dining room. I've been told (by SWMBO) that I need to get rid of it and apparently the money will be used to buy a new dining room suite :'(
It really is in lovely condition complete with four cues, rule card, scoreboard, balls & pegs etc the table is complete with the timer and is currently set for free play
I live between Hungerford Berkshire and Marlborough Wiltshire and can e-mail photo's to any interested parties. I'm looking for £975ono

Have you thought of advertising it on eBay, Paul ?
You will be able to show it off to good effect, and there's a saying that a picture is worth a thousand words.
You have indicated what you are looking to get for it, so could set that as a 'Buy It Now' price - but sometimes it pays to let the auction run.....
I've been tracking sales on eBay for four years, and have seen several tables (in pristine condition and sometimes not !) go for more than £1000. You could protect yourself by applying a reserve figure of, say, £950.
Some people are wary of eBay, but I've found it a safe and efficient way of doing business, especially when you have set up a PayPal account.

If you want to email a couple of decent pictures to me I'll resize as applicable and attach them to this thread.
We can then form a better opinion of the table for you.
A picture of the underside front of the slate would also be useful as very many Jelkes slates are damaged by inexpert movement.
