Windmill 5 Marine View A 0
Alan Messer 6,640 - 2,110 John Hayes A nice 5k break from Alan on his first visit was enough. ;)
Gina Sherratt 9,050 - 170 Steve Oliver Gina opened with a well worked 7k and had the better of the later exchanges. Well played Gina. ;D
Edge Butler 3,330 - 990 Bepo Bepo had the break 4 times in this game, but couldn't get it, Edge played a steady game to win the match. :)
Dave Ingram 1,730 - 400 Dave Stevens I lost an opening break of 9.9k.... :-[ ::) .... but managed to get the balls back at the end of the game to win. :-X
Charlie Cooper 3,640 - 2,710 Matt Mason Matt made the best start for the visitors all evening and it was a close game for quite a while, but then Charlie pulled away and maintained his lead til the end. ;D

Well I had to post this result.....
Duke of Wellie 5 Three Horseshoes A 0
Nigel Senior 16,380 -1,100* KT
Kt off on first split, Nige with 10k and touch, then added 6k at the end
Chrs Tupper 11,680* - 280 Rick Dewdney
Don't think Tupps was expecting the break offered Rick an early chance but he got them back first to make a determined 7k winning break.
john Perrin 7,630 - 3,210* Stu Mepham
The game captains don't want to watch, but after Stu was off early then a bit off toing a froing and John got the balls back and made a 6k winning break - 3-0!
Chris Reeves 18,330* - 1,190 Chris Lawman
Chris R going for a big score missed the break and was off on 4k in 4 mins, Chris L got them back but only made 1k. Reevesey then made a quick 14k to make the nights highest score.
Mal Spier 7,530 - 4,870* Kev Hall
Kev made 2k to start and Mal got them back and got to around 7k, when his concentration went a bit when he played a split at one up pace. Kev got the balls back and had time but missed a one up to end the game.

Swan B 1 - 4 Atlas
Game 1. Ian Lelliott opened with 4k before cue ball dived left on a split (this happened more than once during the evening) but Barry Holt couldn't retrieve the balls. Ian's second visit made the game safe. 0-1
Game 2. Tony Lewis had a few chances in response to Brian Richards' 3k opener, but never looked like taking them. Brian got the break back after a while and closed the game out. 1-1
Game 3. No doubting who has been Atlas' bext player so far this season, Geoff Jukes flawless opening break set Roger Taylor 9k in 8 mins, and he returned when Roger broke down to add a further 5k. 1-2
Game 4. Matt Squire lost 2k at the start, and each player had several visits before Martin Smith got the break back and made a decisive, match-winning contribution. 1-3
Game 5. Dead rubber at the end between Mark James and Doug Mahy. Your correspondent was off at 3k (that cue ball diving left on the split again!) but Doug couldn't get them back. Second break from Mark finished the game. 1-4

Schooner A 1.5 Swan A 3.5
TJ 2110 5030 Vern Blake * Rick * 2850 5430 Chris Scott Bill 860 3840 Dave France * Steve * 3930 3910 Terry Denyer Dave 950 950 Pete Mansfield
A good evening with plenty of banter where we will have to give the table being the winner of the night with all players failing to settle, Steve needed the 200 to win his, and the last was rather bizarre with all there being unsure of rules and settling for drawn leg.
Ron Brewer gave Terry M and game after match and knocked in close on 9kto show how its done.
