I am pleased to see that the target of £2,500 has now been reached.
May I wish Nigel all the best on his challenge of doing three marathons over three days, it will be a terrific achievement to complete the Jurassic coast course and I'm sure Ray would have been very proud of you.
Good luck,
Keith.

With one more marathon to go this Email shows how Nigel's getting on.
Hi
Just a quick update from us in Weymouth.
Day 1 - difficult day both mentally and physically, the biggest of the hills, rain, a large sore rubbing on Nigel's back and a previous knee injury causing pain. However Ray's mum and sister and family were at the finish line to see him come in which boosted him loads.
Day 2 - after a poor nights sleep and aching like mad, today seemed a tall challenge, no hot water in our caravan this morning meant he couldn't ease his aches with a hot shower. Lots of support on Portland and 17 of us cheering him on at Bowleaze Cove in the hail storm, more support at Osmington and 14 of us at the finish at Lulworth Cove saw him sprint down the hills with a huge smile on his face, aching, tired but happy!!!
Roll on tomorrow, we are now off to the pub for a meal!!

Day 3 - completed, job done. 26.2 miles ended up as 32 miles ooooops (not fun). Runner error, enforced diversion and oh yeah the JCC organisers are sadistic!! lol. Fantastic scenery, beautiful weather today, support fabulous and huge support at the finish (my mum, Kim & Children, Ray's mum, Teresa, Will & Nicola, Malcolm, Lynne, Tasja & Liam). Amazing high after a very hard and tiring three days but worth every single step in memory of Ray. A huge thanks for your support from us all, we believe the final figure will be well over £3,000.

Thanks to everyone’s kind donations the final figure for the Jurassic Coastal Challenge by Nigel Smith in memory of our friend Ray Sturgess was £3,875.70.
The money has gone to Pancreatic Cancer UK.
The total miles that Nigel ran over 3 separate days was a staggering 85.7 miles over some rugged coastline in 18hours 28mins and finished 60th out of 110 finishers.
Congratulations again Nigel on a tremendous achievement.
