Who runs Committee meetings?
We will never know as.......
Once again an open debate, to try to get to the bottom of things that are concerning people, is aborted by the moderators.
I now have a letter to reply to, and can only take one side because the other person will not give his side (privately or publicly). I would have preferred to have the full story to be fair all round.
I believe that I have done nothing wrong, only trying to extract the "other side" of the story.

Well you did receive a lot of comment on this, Pete, more than your money's worth I would say.
I agree with you that only one side of the case has been featured, but to me it seemed a quite straightforward case of protocol, and we have all given our answers on that in good faith without trying to slate the personalities involved.
IMHO nothing positive to be gained in dragging the debate on or picking at the scab now formed: Moderators are correct in locking the thread at this stage.

I must point out that I am not (and never was) trying to "slate" anybody, just trying to get the other side of the story before I give an honest opinion.
Why the VC actually wrote to me about it, I do not know, unless he realised (at least) that I would give an honest opinion, whoever the personalities involved would be!!!!
Better call a halt to this, before we get cut off in our prime again.

Peter,
I emailed you privately and told you I had heard, in confidence, the other side of the story.
The secretary concerned does not want to be tied to the stake by you.
I told you I had sent out another email to someone who could give a more balanced view and asked you to do the same. I asked to to leave this alone until I/we had received a reply.
I also asked you to email the secretary concerned, but you refused.
No you have to stir the shyte agian.
What happens in the league concerned is none of this forum's business.
This thread is locked and if you open another I will ban you. I have already warnd Glenn this could happen.
Chris
