Southwater 3-2 Windmill B
Steve played Wayne in the first leg and took full control. Although never really getting to grips with the the top, put some solid scores in to put the game beyond doubt...0-1
Mike entertained Jeff in a scrappy second. Mike came off very early but with Jeff unable to take advantage, the two played out a game that could have easily gone either way....1-1
With Barry unable to find the break, it was over to Tom to show everyone how to score on Southwater's top. A break of just over 3.5k was followed by a 1.7k. Barry fought valliently but Tom was on good form...2-1
Chris and Dave....Dave, Dave, Dave!!! Dave did find the break. 4 times in fact! After losing well over a 1k break, it was down to Chris on his home top to put the white ball in the 100 to win the frame. He didnt, he missed and Dave hit it first time to get a deserved point....2-2
Drew and myself will be hanging our heads in shame after this match. We probably could have played blind-folded and still scored the same! Once again, came down to the final ball with myself squeezing into the 100 for a win. A very low scoring game though...3-2
Southwater win 3-2 in yet another close game with the Windmill. The result could eadily have been very different due to Chris/Dave and myself/Drew. Im away next week so hoping the boys can pick up some points at Limeburners!
