Windmill 0 Old House at Home 5
Mick Pope 0 - 2,810* Nick Brown 3 Black Pegs for Micky in this game helped Nick to take the opening game. 0-1
Gina Sherratt 1,820* - 2,870 Terry Burgess A couple of small breaks in the second half of the game for Terry proved decisive with Gina unable to get the break back. 0-2
Dave Ingram 2,080 - 6,800* Paul Barnett Paul had the break back 4 times in this game to get his score, each time coming off with about 1.5k after a 50/30 split, by the time I got the break back he was out of reach. 0-3
Edge Butler 2,370* - 3,670 Gary Ridley Scores very close for most of the game, Gary getting the decisive break near the end. 0-4
Alan Messer 1,960 - 5,020* Neil Higgins Again both players struggled for much of the game, but Neil managed to put in the best break of the night (3.2k) to clinch the whitewash for the visitors. 0-5
Probably fair to say that neither team really got to grips with the table, but the Old House were worthy winners on the night. ;)

Duke of Wellington 5-0 Swan A
Nigel Senior 22,130(brk) - ,200* Chris Scott Chris Tupper 10,300* - 2.590 Vern Blake John Perrin 5,720 - 3,560* Pete Mansfield Mal Spier 8,290* - 3,910 Terry Denyer Chris Reeves 9,890 -8,010* Dave France
Another 5-0 home win for the Wellie, I made 22,130 after Chris' first vist of 1,200. Tupps won the 2nd comfortably with 3 good breaks, Regg3y added his usual entertainment including an unorthodox 50-20 split which was using the left hand 50 hole and the left hand 20 hole!. Mal and Reevesey completed the win with good scores.
The Marine View away and home for us afeter the cup game next week!

Schooner A 4 Threehorseshoes B 1
A night where Dave was weakened with the loss of Chris Lucas saw the Schooner win rather easily as neither Chris Oakley or Adam Squires could get on with the top. The highlight of the night was young Sam Squires face when she realised she had a break of over one thousand, pure magic, and very well done to her stepping in shaking like a leaf, in fact she lost another 500 and could easily have recorded a 2k game. Dave Ancsombe 3130 1190 Chris Oakley * Rick Cunningham * 2790 1640 Sam Squires Bill Kerr 7420 710 Adam Squires * Tony Jenner * 3490 360 Aiden Jones (yes I did take the break ) Terry Molloy 2430 8520 Dave Jones
A most enjoyable evening and well done to those stepping in to try and keep the Shoes B season going.

Balltree 0 - Romans 5 Captain Jean sick and at the end of the evening the rest of us were feeling just as sick at the result. Problems with the table, but no edcuses we were just rubbish. Lots of laughs though.

Three Horseshoes A 4 Atlas 1
Second defeat in a row for the Atlas as the Shoes ground out a great result.
Sir kt 8,390 v 5,600 Ian L. - Ian looked to be building a winning lead until a split either side of the peg resulted in nothing going down. A couple of shots later and I got them back to make a winning score. 1 - 0
Lolly 14,990 v 100 Geoff J. - Great 10k opener from Chris giving Geoff no chance. Chris added another 4k for good measure. 2 - 0
Chocie 240 v 4,720 Martin S. - Really scrappy this one with Martin pegging his opener and then plenty of goes each until Martin edged it near the end. 2 - 1
Bigjimsilverfox 10,100 v 830 Mario - Jim couldn`t get the pace of the one up right on his first visit and came off with about 3k. Steve couldn`t take advantage and Jim got going to win the match. 3 - 1
Mr Reaper 10,060 v 410 Mark J. - After Mark`s early mistake, Kev made a couple of solid breaks to strengthen the win ;D
So the Shoes A & Duke of Wellie go into the Xmas break 2 points ahead of the Atlas. Chairmans Cup next week.
