With Surrey being one of the first counties to hire tables under the new regime, and our first spate of table hire due on 23rd January, can someone please confirm the exact procedure and what is expected of us ?
Our Chairman and main organiser Gary Powell has contacted me thus:
"Clive, Can you kindly establish who is now in charge of the table rental from the AEBBA? Brian Daniels did confirm all our dates in 2010, however nobody has confirmed the bookings since the AEBBA took control of table hire. It would be handy if they not only could confirm, but also give us an idea of date and time of their arrival for the January competition weekend.
Surrey being a sort of 'guinea pig' here. Let's hope it all starts off smoothly, and then it can carry on from there with confidence for everyone else !
The last time Gary spoke to Brian Daniels, he was given the assurance that 'there would be no problem with the table hire'. But we still need to know the day and time of the tables' arrival, so arrangements can be completed at our end.
I stress that Surrey are the 'guinea pigs' - and confidence of other counties in the new arrangement will ensue as a result of a first 'smooth hire'.
