We have called an EGM to take place on Tuesday 8th April to discuss the tables situation.
Due to limited space at Rushden Cons the venue has been changed to The Cock. Rob has agreed for us to use the room upstairs, that same one as for the race night.
Start time 8.30pm.
See you all there.

Just spoken to The Charity Bank, As i had a spare 10 mins. They would consider our application; The deal from them would be as follows; Min Loan of 5k Intrest charged at 6.5% Admin fee of £150 Commitee members would need to sign a guarantee against the loan although i dont think are peronaly ressposable (only downside i can see) Application would take 4-6 weeks as it goes in font of the Trustees of the Bank, so we would need to decide pretty quick if we want to go down this route] FUrther details can be found at www.charitybank.org/media/Guide_to_Loan_Finance.pdfSend me a PM if you want any further info

hello Ben and everyone else
i think we need to find out if there is any venue that are deffinatly NOT interested in keeping their table im very interested in saving the headland table one way or another but want to make sure we still gonna have a league to play in still.

I think that the venues need to be contacted by an appointed person to ascertain what the state of play is with that particular place, i understand that replies to BB ltd are needed by the end of April. Remember, it is the venue/ brewery that has the first refusal before any team needs to weigh in with the cash.

From the EGM we discussed about the League getting a loan to purchase all tables so the pubs we pay rent to the league. Is this idea out of the window? The end of April is approaching fast!!!

Each venue has been contacted within the last few days to find out where they stand. In short we have already lost one table, it has been returned to BB Ltd. 2 are interested in buying, so it looks like we need to finance the purchase of three tables. I still have to talk to Burton tonight at our Premiership match.
Apologies for the delay in answering but have been working out of the country.

Its the Frog and Fiddler that has gone mate.
Not sure that we can do anything about the one in Leicester. It is located directly in the city centre, so I doubt that any of our teams would want to travel there for a match.
I did speak to Jan and she did say that she was not going to purchase, but is happy to keep the table there.
Cheers

I hear the league are no longer getting a loan to purchase the tables. Is this true? No idea, nothing was said at the prem final last night, it's all gone quiet, but i believe that all tables are safe as all are being bought individually.

The truth is that very little progress has been made, as no-one has taken responsibility of sorting it all out. I have done what I can in between working overseas, and also doing all the planning for the Jim Wilson Weekend, but there is only so much I can do.
Story so far is:-
Rushden Cons - Club purchasing table. Burton Cons - Club not buying, no idea whats to happen?? Crown and Anchor - Pub not buying, possibility of team buying table. Headlands - Pub not buying, possibility of Dave buying table. The Cock - Pub likely to purchase table, Jim donated his table to pub also to accommodate the team from the Frog. Frog and Fiddler - Table already gone.
If there is anyone out there who is prepared to offer assistance or to take the lead on this, then please get in touch with me.
Thanks
Chris

I will have a word with Iestyn to see if he can follow up his lead with regards to a loan. The situation with Crown & Anchor's table is the pub will not be buying and as a team I don't think we'll be buying either. I will know more by next weeks meeting. Has Andy been in contact with the bank over a loan?

Andy did call the bank, but without success. We need to write letters including our constitution, signed by all committee members before they will even consider seeing us. Far too many hoops to jump through.
