Windmill 3 Swan B 2
Edge Butler 3,030 - BP* Brian Richards Brian off at just under 2k in his opening break, but couldn't get the break back. Edge did, but off at 1.2k and then slowly started to catch up. A useful break of about 1k at the end of the game left Brian needing the 200 to win..... but he found the black peg instead. :'( 1-0
Alan Messer 6,370* - 5,910 Barry Holt Alan opened with 2.9k, Barry straight on the break but missed the one up. Alan extended his lead with another break of 2.7k, only for Barry to push in a good 4.5k to take a slight lead. Alan then got a useful little break of 550, leaving Barry 360 behind with 4 white balls left. 2-0 :)
Gina Sherratt 1,590 - 4,670* Matt Squire Matt was off soon after missing a ball on his split shot, but was first to get the break back to add another 1.5k. Gina replied with 1.3k, but after that the balls didn't run for her and Matt added a couple of small breaks to make sure of the win. 2-1 :(
Dave Ingram 7,560* - 7,470 Roger Taylor I opened with a slow 5.8k, Roger played a couple of interesting shots and got the break back and, finding the split very much to his liking ran in a break of 7,470 before leaving both balls in front of the 50 hole. I managed to get the break back straight away and, with just over a minute left, played the table out.... but leaving me needing the 200 to win. Third time lucky in it went. :o 3-1 ;)
Mick Pope 3,040 - 4,430* Doug Mahy Doug off early, Mick got the break back but was also off quickly. The balls stayed in awkward places for quite a while then Doug had a break of 3.5k, Mick hit back with 2.4k before breaking down when it looked as if he might just grab the win. :-/ 3-2
Excellent evening with plenty of friendly banter between the teams, nice curry as well. ;D 8-)

Schooner A 3 Old House at Home 2
Neil Higgins looking good but forced 50 hole at 2.5k, Steve Aylmore struggled at top end, Neil got them back to add another 1k. 1360-3620 0-1
Rick Cunningham off at 500, Tony Burgess unable to take advantage. Rick two visits at the break, made sure. 8840-550 1-1
Paul Barnett opened with 1.9k, TJ did not get it back ,Paul did and crafted an excellent 7k before touching up as bar due. 9650-670 1-2
Bill Kerr worked hard to open with 4.8k, and Gary Ridley whatever he tried could not get break back until last couple of minutes. 5410-1910 2-2
Nick Brown off early at 650, Terry Molloy did not retrieve break. Nick first back in and added 1.5k before missing both balls on split. Terry built 5k break before touching up as out of position, Terry first back in and made sure. 8210-2590 3-2
Another entertaining evening with the Old House, very competitive to the wire as would expect. Ladies threesome against Dave Anscombe and Steve Aylmore certainly would have brightened any evening. Roast potatoes, chips, sausages and Bacon pud to follow. Does it get much better!!!!!

Marine View `A` 1 Three Horseshoes `A` 4
Well, i think we played the table a little better this time (after losing in the cup), the scores never tell the true story on this top :-X :P
Steve Oliver 1600 v 1440 Mr Reaper - Kev came off immediately and after a couple of visits, made a useful 530, only to miss a ball up the top. This was to prove costly as the final margin of victory was only 160 1 - 0
John Hayes 1560 v 7140 Sir KT - John didn`t reach a 1000 on his opener and several visits each later saw the scores about level. The second time i got them back, i made a 2k break :o and then bettered that with another 3.5k after. I was really getting into it ;), then i woke up, i mean the bar dropped. 1 - 1
Dave Catchpole 600 v 1,890 Lolly - Chris always looked comfortable, especially as Dave black pegged after about 6 minutes and never got the break back after that. 1 - 2
Bepo 1710 v 1720 Bigjimsilverfox - Quite a close game all the way through, a couple of breaks each early on and then Jim took a peg out when on a 1200 break, with the bar due. Bepo had first shot at the 100 but missed. Jim made sure at his first attempt. 1 - 3
Derek Hawkins 640 v 1700 Chocie - Once Stu established a 600 lead, there was no looking back ;D
