Plough B vs Southwater
The first game back after Christmas and the hangovers were still present.
Southwater scaped together a team despite Gout and ManFlu!
Match 1 saw Jeff Raine take on Jerry Edwards. Jeff started inconsistantly but found the break relatively quickly and looked well in control after a couple of minutes. 0-1
Match 2 saw Gordan and Darrell play an unusual game. Very even all the way through coming down to the final 100 shot. Darrell and Gordan took 5 shots each until Gordan pocketed to take the frame. 0-2
Match 3 was the Chris's...Purkiss and Kirkham. Not runaway winner in this game. Neither gained control. Chris P took it to win the game for Southwater. 0-3
Match 4 was myself against Jenny Edwards. I missed completely from the break allowing Jenny to build a small lead. She struggled when getting the break back and I kept knocking in small breaks to take the win. 0-4
Match 5 was Peter Edwards and Tom. Its a tradition for Southwater that when we win 4-1, Tom loses. When we lose 4-1...Tom wins. Tuesday was no different. Tom was all over the place and although never out of the frame until the last few minutes, he never looked comfortable.
Final Result..Plough B 1-4 Southwater
The table needs a bit of work as played inconsistantly throughout the night. I wouldnt like to have that top as a home table as would be very tricky to learn as proved.
