Dun Horse home to Alfold Social Club.
Dun Horse 4 Alfold SC 1
Stuart Hope 4820 Mal Greening 960 The Major didn’t do much with the break, Stu quickly racked up 2k followed by another couple of thousand towards the end. Nothing going for the Major.
Dave Simmons 1690 Dave(?) Tilley 920 Before the game started, Major informed Dave that Scuba was laid up tonight so he’d grabbed Dave(or was it Doug?) Tilley to make the numbers up. “Don’t worry” he said, “He’s never played before, just thought I’d warn you.” Well thanks for that! It was Dave that played like the beginner not Mr. Tilley. Neither player got the break back, instead concentrating on lining the balls up in the middle of the table! :-/
Colin Bolton 910 Garry Fishburn 3730 Garry started with a break of just over 1k. It was kind of downhill from there for Capt. Colin. The only time the balls really started dropping was after the bar had gone! Garry put in another break of 1k5ish towards the end.
Scott Hope 2390 Robin Burgess 1300 Robin scored 220 off the break, Scott replied with 110. That set the scene for a really embarrassing display of billiards that both players would probably rather forget. Lots of goes, lots of “No score”.
Grant Hope 3990 Cliff Greening 2800 Most definitely the best game of the night. Minor broke of with 1500, Grant replied with 60, Minor back in for another 1200. Grant got going and plugged away for 3930, playing the table out apart from the last ball which Minor put down the 100. At least somebody played well tonight! ;)
Woo hoo! We’ve managed to win a match 4-1. The Dun table tonight played very awkwardly (apart from the last game) prompting a fair amount of banter from both teams. Only to be expected really….. ;D

Stout House Z 4 Limburners 1
Jim 10150 - L Etheridge 1230 Vern 7350 - B Hammond 930 Richard 1320 - Chip 2860 Andy 7930 - B Goodchild 1040 Johnny 4160 - T Cross 1040
Good night for the Zed`s I got off to a good start with a 7k break followed by a 2.5 to see out the 1st leg. Vern continues his good form to with 6k. Next up Chip and Richard, chip not convincing from the break off but Richard just couldn`t get the balls back Chip did and put enough up to take a point. Andy took a while aswell but he came through with a 5k. Junky Millier up last was always comfortable after getting in front.

Roffey 3-2 Southwater B's
Leg 1 was Lee Cable versus Gordan Ling. Gordan started off brightly, but Lee very quickly got into his stride finding the break and winning convincingly. 1 Nil to Roffey
Chris Purkiss took on Pete Fisher in Leg 2. The often reliable Chris didnt find form at all tonight and allowed Pete to take the frame.
Leg 3 was myself renewing my rivallry with a certain Mr Cable Snr. I started off brightly. Dick struggled to find a rythym and was constantly knocking away my lead. Luckily for myself, the bar dropped with enough of a difference. 2-1.
Leg 4 saw Tom Darkins take on the formiddable Mr Fairs. Unfortunately, by this stage the football had finished so Micks attention was on hammering Tom! He built a solid lead but Tom was never really out of the game and with a little more lady luck could have caught Mick. 3-1
Leg 5-1 Jeff Raine played against Dave Howlett. A very friendly game with both trying to give the leg to each other. Low scores with neither having any real luck. Jeff held on to give us another point.
Final score 3-2 to Roffey. As always a good laugh with the boys up their.
