Definately echo the above reference Jenny. Wish you a speedy recovery.
After speaking to various people we were expecting a "challenging" top at the Holbrook but I dont think even we were braced for this!
I was up first against Steve and hopeing to continue a good run from last week with two wins from two leagues. Not so! I was like Niklas Bendtner. I couldnt hit a cows arse with a banjo. I lost a few points here and there but the table needs picking up and throwing out the door! Steve capitilsed and plugged away with a couple of smaller breaks but did enough for the win.
Second was Martin taking on Gordan. Gordan broke for us finding the break three times but once again, it was the one-up that proved "interesting". With balls not dropping well, Gordan clung on to put the visitors back on level terms.
We have the "oxford shot". We now have the "Holbrook shot" duly christened and repeatedly successfully carried out by Sam. ;D Hit the balls and get one of them in the 100 hole. I lost count but 4/5 times!! I think the man definately trod in something! Nonetheless, El Capitano Tom held on by the skin of his teeth to put Southwater 2-1 up
Jeff Raine returned to his old hunting ground in leg 4 to take on old friend Vic. Thinking positive, Jeff tried to pot two off the break, only to follow in the footsteps of the majority of us previously. He carried on plugging away and almost stole the show from Sam with a memorable 200 shot. Not able to hit 2k though, but held on to make it 3-1 to Southwater.
Final leg saw out of form Chris Purkiss return to winning ways on the final ball. Chris decided he wanted to be a lumberjack so started felling pegs at an alarming rate. Nothing was going either his or Stu's way. Down to the final ball, Chris missed as did Stu before Chris realised the cushion kicked off and potted to win.
Steve 2630-870 Matt Martin 690-1750 Gordan Sam 2150-2780 Tom Vic 1490-1950 Jeff Stu 1330-1360-Chris
A 4-1 win for Southwater but a table that rivals the old Fountain for most frustating. I prefer a different top each week as the same gets a bit boring, but with all due respect to the person that has done that top, he needs shooting from a short distance witha large shot gun! :o

Dun Horse became the 2nd team this season to beat the mighty Roffey Club Y.

Mick Fairs 16060 Paul Jobbins 1720 Paul also off early to give Mick a lot of table time Rick Langridge 2800 Adam Bateup 11230 Adam loved the table & could not do a thing wrong John Miller 3160 Ricky Dewdney 10710 Ricky kicked off with 3K then added another 6K for a brilliant result with 4 10K scores .
Thanks to The Roffey team for an enjoyable evening highlight was Micky harrasing John Miller to play faster to catch up ;D ;D
Thanks also to Plough B for beating Stout House which puts us in joint 2nd place on points.
