Do you think there is anything we can do to try and stop the decline of our league? If the C&A lost the table it will be a nightmare for the league. Do you think it is worth advertising for players in the local papers? Any suggestions?
Cheers

Maybe it's worth a mailshot to local pubs and clubs to let them know there is a league in existence and the costs involved renting tables etc. I think BB is the best kept secret around here

One place there is a table, apparently, is at the Wheatsheaf which is just along the road from the Cons. I know that because Chicksy has played on it :o Maybe he could get a team up ???
Seriously it may be worth calling in one night Hammy to suss it out. (and to see what the Kronie is like ;D)

G'day all. Air miles next week, tera ferma this week thank goodness.
Not too sure on the table front. I was under the impression that BB Ltd were not going to supply tables to any new venues. I'll sure check it out though.
I thought about doing a mail shot a few weeks back, or at least get in touch with the press to do an article on it with the hope that it may raise interest. Was thinking of doing this prior to the Jim Wilson weekend so we could then invite people along to see what happens if interested.
After talking to the C&A Cobblers, they may go to the Victoria, but that then leaves the Saints. If they do pack up then that means that we will only have 9 teams with only 6 venues.
If the Wheatsheaf have a table, we should aim to go in there and promote the league. I am happy to go in there if anyone else is up for it. Could be the team we need for the Nene Cup!

I agree with mail shots and calling at Pubs with tables, me and Paul Brice used to do that. Thing is these days it's highly UNLIKELY that teams will approach the league, these people don't tend to come out of the woodwork just like that, but who knows. :) Lifes full of surprises :D
