Chunky Monkey secured his first Brighton Singles Final Spot tonight, beating Chris Reeves 2-1.
Chris won the toss and put me on first which I won. 6k played 2500 chances for both! Chris then won the second leg after coming off on 2k and was first to get them back and made sure 8k played 2k
The Decider............ I won toss and opted to go first and got a kick on 300 of my opening break. Chris went in with 2k. I came back with 1K before missing a split and Chris added another 2k before yours truly retrieved the break back and touched up on 4K break in the last 6 minutes after 6 attempts 8-) :D

Maybe third time lucky in the final, a very sporting gesture by Nigel asking to swap venues as he thought it unfair he was drawn on his Thursday home table ( Duke of Wellington). Played at the Atlas by mutual agreement, table played well and Nige touched up on 11k second frame, and by hook or by luck we managed to limit him to only two goes in third frame and lucky for us balls were awkward. Not to do ourselves down as we ended with over 11k in deciding frame.

Nigel 2 Sir KT 1
So I wont be making history on Finals night then :-/ and become the first player ever to win the Brighton singles 4 times in a row.
A very good match for the neutral, played at the Montreal. I put Nige in and he made just under 4k. The balls stayed up the top for about 8 mins until I cleared them. The Mont is a good table when you know it and unfortunately I played my first split to thick, end of chance. Nige then finished off. Game 2 saw me break off with about 13k, i would have run it out but for a slightly awkward ball, offline for the split. Nige played the rest out quickly to see how quick he could play it for the decider. Nige lost the toss so I put him in again. He went off with 7k quite fast but spun his next one up out. At this point, it looked like a good decision to put him in. I caught him up and reached 6,800 only to see both balls miss the split and the white hang over the lip of the 100 hole. Both balls were very playable and Nige cleared up for the win. Well done.
Good luck to both players in the final ;)

Sir KT & Ian Lelliott 2 Mick Pope & Alan Messer 0
We met Mick & Alan here at the Wellie in the Worthing pairs as well and i`m afraid it was the same result. Mick had several chances at the break in the first but couldn`t take advantage, so we just adged that one. The second was more straightforward with Ian breaking off with 4k and then I added another 5k.
