In the Dover, Deal & District Bar Billiards League, in Group A, with the top two not playing, Royal Oak took advantage with a 5-1 win away to the Magnet A. Steve Lake (4,870), Mark Graves (4,830) and Roger Oldfield (3,290) swept the singles for the Oak, with Graves & Lake (2,090) taking the first doubles. The Magnet's point came courtesy of a 1,380-1,280 victory for Donna Prior & Shirley Cowdrey, with Lake & Oldfield (1,510) gaining the final leg.
In Group B, leaders Plough & Harrow B from Bridge won 4-2 away to second-placed Market Inn B. Gareth Butcher (5,460) put the Market in front, before Plough successes for John Fullager (4,550) and Kevin Kay (3,530). The visitors also took the first two doubles, via Stan Brocklebank & Kay (2,220) and Kay & Fullager (2,530), and Alan Farra & Butcher (2,560) won the last leg for the Sandwich side. The Plough & Harrow B from Tilmanstone drew 3-3 at home to the Magnet A. John Higgens (5,290) and Mike Callanan (4,630) put the Magnet ahead, before a Plough victory for Phil Court (2,190). Further Plough wins from Ron Beer & Ian Jamieson (1,740) and Court & Beer (2,640) gave them the lead, before Callanan & Higgens (3,160) salvaged the draw.
