Dun Horse 1 Crown 4
Stuart Hope 3990 Dave Sands 4220 Dave broke with just over 2k, Stu followed with the same. A very close game that Dave won by being on the table when the bar went.
Grant Hope 1980 Rick Padfield 4260 Rick started with about 2k. Grant came back well but broke down short allowing Rick back in to take the game.
Colin Bolton 4200 Colin Barrow 4220 This was very much a game of two Colins! Their Colin went off well, Our Colin came back well. Their Colin didn’t do much, ours got just over 1K ahead. Their Colin got back on and played the table out to finish 20 ahead of our Colin. Nailbiting stuff!!
Dave Simmons 5870 Pete Barnett 1530 Barney didn’t do much on the break. Dave managed to rack up just over 1k. Both players spent a while seeing who could get the balls closest to the holes without dropping. Eventually, Dave got the break back and rattled in about 4k leaving Barney the last couple of balls.
Scott Hope 2380 Hugh Fowler 4180 Hugh started steadily with just over 2k. Scott managed to claw back 1k but couldn’t do enough to catch Hugh.
Our second half surge seems to have deserted us as we succumb to yet another 4-1 defeat, the 3rd in a row! :'( Result will no doubt help the Crown’s league challenge though. A good night with plenty of chat and banter (The ‘B’ word wasn’t mentioned, although it did crop up in conversation that Rick will probably not drive to Final’s Night this year.) Sandwiches tonight featured Turkey and Cranberry sauce. Very festive..! ;D

What 'B' word might that be ??? Billiards, Break, Balls. I imagine it must of been really hard not to refer to these words at least once in the match ;D

Alfold SC 1 The Railway 4
Sorry was too busy to write a report and too many beers at the end to remember to write down the scores.
The score line does not reflect the closeness of all the games. One player shone out and that was Robin (Alfold) who hit a 6K break followed by another 2K.
Both sets of players played well with at least 3 of the games being 10K plus.
A really great social night, the Railway had supporters too.
Cheers to all

Given the match result, I recall quite a few words beginning with 'B' mentioned. Similar words cropping up in Alfold I guess.... ;D

Stout House Z 5 Southwater SC A 0
Jim 5800 Tony Franks 5080 Richard 5980 Keith Newman 0 Andy 4960 Ray Monser 1530 Johnny 4310 Melvin Blake 2070 Vernon 5970 Tony Temple 5510
Richard, Andy & Johnny were in control of their games, Johnny playing with a pub cue. ??? It was suggested that he should swap it for his own ;D ;D
Vern and Jim both needed 5k breaks to win their games at the death ;) ;) 8-)
Great win for The Zeds, plenty of chat and banter, finished off with the usual yummy sarnies.
And the Hawaii 5 0 theme tune got an airing ;D ;D ;D 8-) ::)
