I went to the monthly meeting of the Wellingborough league last night to hear my objection bein read to the committee. I was objecting to blatent coaching taking place durring a match. After my objection bein read some members asked a few questions, voices got raised and tempers fraid especially as the coach in question is the chairman of the league and the landlord of the pub he plays for believes his team "can do no wrong as they run the league" (rubbish). all that said, the end result was the secertery stated that "COACHING ISNT AGAINST THE RULES" because theres nothing in the rules to cover it. If we wanted to change the rules then the AGM later in the year is the place to do it.So coach away Wellingborough. THE MORAL OF THIS STORY... If you want to play a fair game and win loose or draw in your own right stick to three pin !!!!! ;D

A bit of harmless coaching to an inexperienced player is a less heinous crime than the home team practising the break and split before the start of the match in full view of the opposition.
But that's only my opinion, and in 3-pin coaching is banned, but practising in full view of the opposition is not - except in some circles. It's a strange world.
