Ricky Dewdney (or Dewdley as he was known for the event ;D )put in an excellent performance at the 2010 Portsmouth Open, played on Sunday 18th April: Congrats to Keith Sheard on winning the Pompey Open today. He beat Mark James in the final. Well done also to Rick Dewdney for beating Simon Ellam in the Plate final.Last 8 were Keith Sheard bt Kevin Tunstall Phil Collins bt Dave Alder Curt Driver bt Chris Newson Mark James bt Ian Moss Well done to the organisers for another well run day ;) A very excellent, enjoyable day. Congrats to the other prize winners: Phil Collins for the highest break of the day of 22k, and Jean Brackenridge for the ladies break. In the final, Milko set a 20k target for Mark, and Mark, playing faster than I have ever seen him, was quickly up to 8k before leaving an awkward one, pegging and conceding. Other memorable performances (for me, anyway ;)): - Geoff Pitt's brave 14k play-out against Milko in the opening round - he fell a couple of k short;
- Harry Mortimore's 8k-6k defeat of Nigel - in the Plate :o :o,
- Ricky Dewdney's perfect play following defeat by Bill Kerr at the first hurdle - not a single break lost on his way to winning the Plate.
..... and a big well done to Gina Sherrat for her brave performance in reaching the last 16 of the Main competition.

Ricky Dewdney and Gareth Lloyd maintained their consistency in Opens by both making the last 16 stage of the Buckinghamshire Open on Sunday.
Ricky lost to eventual semi-finalist Simon Ellam, and Gareth to finalist Keith Sheard - both of Oxfordshire.
The event was won by current World Champion Phil Collins.
