This board seems to have lost its 'fun' factor... whats going on? we haven't had a 'Kipple' for ages and the honourable HVP doesn't seem to be around as much.
Bring back Mick Loach, we need a laugh ;D ;D

Bring back Mick Loach, we need a laugh ;D ;D That's funny in itself ;D what's a Loach ;D Sorry, It's Loake Bernie, and yes, he does seem to be absent from the forum of late, maybe he's got something up his sleeve for the new winter league, another Kipling award maybe :o

The Loach has been too busy sorting out warehouses to get involved too much Bernie but hopefully that'll change soon :D

Hands off our Loake bloke !
He was present at the recent Bucks Open (as was PratNav) and is probably still working out how many Kipling points to award Dave "Hawaiian" France for driving Ian Lelliott in the wrong direction on the M25 and nearly ending up in Dover. :o
Also how many minus tart points to give to Mick Jones, who defeated both the No.1 and No.2 players in the world in successive rounds.

Loaches are freshwater fish of the family Cobitidae, small benthic (bottom-dwelling) fish with a flattened ventral profile. There are 160 different species of them. Loaches are mostly scavengers and are omnivorous, usually not very picky about their food. They may eat aquatic crustaceans, insects and other small invertebrates as well as scraps of organic detritus. Many live in waters of generally poor quality and feed on tubifex worms which are associated with those areas. Some have adapted to less-than-ideal water conditions by being able to gulp up atmospheric oxygen from the air. Loach species are distributed through Europe, Asia, and in Morocco. They mainly inhabit rapid-moving streams.
Because of their scavenging nature and their ability to adapt to many freshwater ecosystems, some loaches have been introduced to waters in regions which they are not native to and may pose problems to local wildlife as an invasive species.

..............I wos born under the star sign of Aqueeriarse which sounds a bit fishy too ::) .....not under the sign of Saggyhairyarse, then ? ;D Ok, the result of this quiz............ The answer of course is "Yes, when they want it to be". Q gets a point for (B) roaching the subject. And a bonus point for reference to tarts. The Colemanator gets a point for pointing out the difference between a Loach and a Loake. Would have been more if he'd have defined a Roach. ;) Herr van Puebik gains a bonus for the fish association, and a further point for Del-Boy activities (mentions of warehouses - stocked with blow-up dolls, no doubt) And finally more points to the Colemanator for the loach definition: 4pts for its feeding habits and 1pt for its habitat. Points tally: 1. Colemanator 6pts 2= Q 2pts 2= Herr van Puebik 2pts

Sorry about the mis-spelling of your name, who could ever forget who you are ;D ( and who is this Miss Spelling ??)

Poppies are used in the making of narcotics of which Lolly seems to be quite fond :-X Problem with these Poppies is they get you very high and just when you think it can't get any better they wear off ???

I'm old enough to remember Northampton Town (they were called the Cobblers then) coming straight up through the divisions into the top league. And then they promptly reversed the journey ! My team were non-league then, but came through the divisions similarly and spent 14 years at the top before being sold down the river by the owners. In that time we a) won the FA Cup b)lost our ground, and c) paid eight and a half million for one player and got nothing back for him ! We also played a match in a 26,000 seater stadium in front of 80 supporters, while 7,000 boycotted the match outside the ground ! I suppose the only present-day 'Cinderella' team is Wigan Athletic, who have a rich owner. Let's hope he retains an interest in the club. If not, we all know where they'll be heading........

Last night when I got in from the club I demanded a fish finger sandwich, not thinking that margo would have any in the freezer, but she rustled me one up straightaway, no trouble ! 8-)
