Sadly I am struggling to read the screen due to the new font change..
Can I say that Tiresias is recommended for those visually impaired.. even Arial is far better for those not.

Patience - I expect it's Sav trying some proportional fonts to display data and tables on the forum better. If you don't try new things, nothing ever changes....

Thanks Tony,
What I am trying to do here and you will see how much time has been spent on it in the testing section is to get people to be able to EASILY post tables in Proboards. We are now building the only long term national record and archive of our game that will hopefully be here as long as the game survives.
The use of images to display results / draws and information from free hosting site is terrible for this concept, THEY WILL BE LOST as the free hostings are lost and forgotten as personalities change.
Unfortunately the forum was originally set-up on Proboards which is a free service and is VERY RESTRICTIVE. We cannot move away from Proboards to a professional service without leaving behind and losing six years of history.
What you see is NOT what you get when posting. Normal proportional fonts (Times, Verdana, arial etc) are spaced differently in the edit screens than they are in the finished post. Secondly Proboards will never display two or more space characters together (or any tabs) they are all displayed as just one space. This makes tabulating and posting league tables totally impossible unless you do my fairly complicated workaround that only BBWarrior has managed.
Fixed width fonts such as Courier New are the ONLY way to allow posters to tabulate information. They always put the same gap between characters, unfortunately that space is wider than proportional fonts which condense unused space between smaller characters. They are few and far between as they are old fashioned rigid 'Typewriter' fonts and do not display well on Proboards. I have also put some coding in to control size as I cannot control size in the Proboards package.
I can ONLY use the basic standard Windows/Mac font family as any specialist fonts such as suggested by Chris T. will not exist on most people's P.C.
Complicated isn't it!!
I will keep trying for a bit longer and vary the font and font size. Try posting in the Test Board where I am experimenting. I will see if I can restrict the font changes to that area. (now succeeded in this)
Whatever, I MUST find a way to protect the information and records on here for the future.
