Echoing what Boball said, what a great match, with fates see-sawing between the teams. Firstly Mill House 0-2 down despite a spirited comeback from Mama Hall, then pulling back to 2-all, Jim pulling game three round after being under the cosh to Ian.
But what a decider between Spud and Boball - like a mini match in itself ! Spud made the early running, only to fell a peg with a hard-fought thousand going which might have been decisive, and letting out a plaintive howl like a wounded animal. Bob pulled level and the bar went at the right time for Bob and when the red went down we thought he'd done it. But then the final bit of drama as described by Bob..........really tough on Spud to lose after playing such a wonderful pull-back 200 shot.

I haven't usually said anything in the Horsam league but kind words from Bobhall and Tommo kind of deserve a reply. Really enjoyed the match against Bob but knew i had chucked away what could have been the winning score, which is why i probably sounded like Bambis mother on a bad day.
Anyway, superb evening with the Mill House, some really good games and look foward to being back tomorrow evening.
