Tipsters for Week 6 - 20/10/2010
Laughing Fish v Brewers Arms Could this be the one when the talented Brewers click at last ? I can see a big score from the Farmer, but H taking out one of the other good 'uns in a tight game. (He can't have an easy draw every week, surely? ;D) 3-2 to the Fish. Plough Plumpton v Watermill A Another hard fought match with the home side winning 4-1 and Norman losing his rag. ;D Eight Bells v Greyhound Ok I'll tip the Bells this time and fingers crossed the b*ggers will lose ! St Francis v Plough Lower Beeding Plough won't be used to such a good table as the St Francis. 4-1 to the Assissi mob. Watermill B v Mill House Z The Zeds always struggle on this top so I'll say 3-2 rather than 4-1 to us. Brewers Bravos v Woolpack The Bravos love their billiards - and their table - so i'll go for a Bravos 4-1 victory. Hurst B v United Services Club USC seem to have imploded after their great start. 4-1 to the Bees but frame to Sparky. Horns Lodge v Hurst A I tossed a coin on this one and it came up tails. 3-2 to the Hurst A.

Tommo in early...... here are my thoughts....
Laughing Fish v Brewers Arms A 3-2 win for the Brewers with Jock hitting 10k...... H top scoring for the Fish with another big hit. Plough Plumpton v Watermill A The A Team to bounce back from their defeat last week with a 3-2 away win, big Norm top scoring for the visitors and Chase for the home side. Eight Bells v Greyhound Should be very close and the draw will be crucial..... 3-2 away win with Trevor hitting big for the visitors and Doug for the home side. St Francis v Plough Lower Beeding 3-2 home win, TSO wins and is the only player to hit 5k+ Watermill B v Mill House Z The Zeds machine will be too strong for the Bees..... 5-0 away win with Tommo, SuperG and Barry all hitting good scores. Brewers Bravos v Woolpack Agree with Tommo on a 4-1 home win, Malc the only winning visitor and Spud and Adam both hitting big. Hurst B v United Services Club Hurst will be looking for another win and think they will edge it 3-2, Sparky top scorer for the visitors and a big hit for "King" Steve. ;D Horns Lodge v Hurst A Maybe we have underestimated the Lodge team as they have made a good start (once they actually started anyway!) but Bobhall is fired up and hitting some good scores..... so, 3-2 home win with Bobhall to lose then! :o (no doubt he will give us his usual multiple scenarios though..... maybe I will get a bonus point for predicting that! ;D)

Oh, go on then, lets have another go.
Laughing fish Vs. brewers arms Predicting h to hit big here is like predicting that night might actually follow day. Will show some lotyalty and say the arms to win 3-2
Plough PG Wartwemill A Think the Plough are in good nick at ther moment and will take another 3-2 win, Ron to hit another big one.
Eight Bells Greyhound Another 3-2 prediction, this time in favour of the home team, Ros chalking up a good win.
St Francis Plough LB 4-1 to the home team and much beer to be consumed.
Watermill B Mill House Have to go with an away victory here i suppose but think the home team will cause upsets. 3-2 to the 'house.
Brewers Bravos Woolpack I am allergic to predicting my own teams results so will wimp out. All i will say is that Paul will finally learn to love the table and will get a good win for us.
Hurst Club B USC Hurst to edge this one 3-2 and will predict 4 5k plus scores for a Brucie bonus
Horns Lodge Hurst A Sorry Bob, but 3-2 home win, a Mr. Farrow to go to town on the night (he does play fot the Horns Lodge dosen't he?).
Reckon i'm done.

Just for the record, its only a temporary top. Bit sluggish, bit with a bit of work I can get it playing ok.
One of two things is going to happen:
Our old slate will be return with a new cloth, and pockets that aren't sinking
OR
We get a brand new slate
I'm hoping it'll be the first of the two, but im not the one who deals with Tarratt, and since the person who does didn't bother to ask...

Although it won't affect this weeks fixture the tipsters may like to know the USC top has moved into the front bar and it should mean less disturbance from passing snooker or darts players or even pool players ;D. Happened today and the lights should be fitted during next week.

USC's new player sounds like quite a handy guy. ;D Andy certainly seems a nice "guy" having played against us a few times for the Stand Up Inn in the Lewes League. ;D Having lost the team there, it's good to hear that he is playing again..... too often you hear of players packing up once the rest of their team decide to call it a day. :'( Good luck to him in Mid-Sussex this season. ;)

Go on, I'll have another go this week
Laughing Fish v Brewers Arms Much will depend on the draw here. If I can take out one of the dangerous ones, then I'll go for a 3-2 home win. If not, 3-2 away win. I'm not going to pull any punches, but I dont think I'm going to hit quite so big on this temporary top! However, I reckon as long as Jock and Andy get table time, they'll both manage over 5k. Plough Plumpton v Watermill A Plough are strong at home, but the A's are a solid team. I'll go with a 3-2 away win, but only just. Eight Bells v Greyhound Another team who are strong at home. A lot will depend on the draw, but I'm going to go with a comfortable 3-2 home win. St Francis v Plough Lower Beeding 4-1 home win Watermill B v Mill House Z As Clive says, the Zeds dont like the table here, but they are also a strong side. I'm going to play it safe and say a 4-1 away win. Brewers Bravos v Woolpack Bravos are having a good season, and I reckon tonight we will see some good scores for the home team. 4-1 home win, with Bravo, Spud and Paul M-R all hitting a decent score. Hurst B v United Services Club 4-1 home win, with Sparky winning for USC. Horns Lodge v Hurst A This will be interesting. I reckon the Hurst guys will like the table. Bobhall to hit 8k and come away with a 4-1 away win.
