A bit close for comfort, this one................
Mill House Z 3, Plough Plumpton 2 at the Brewers. Graham Daniels 2120, Jan Bithell 3210 Mick Holmwood 5070, Chase Newman 1540 Alan Downs 5550, Dave Knight 2970 Barry Timson 5240, Darren Newnham 170 Clive Thompson 1320, Ron Sheridan 3840
Ok, we went 3-1 up before I lost 3k and had my ar$e whipped by 'Al Murray'. the Plough demonstrating what could have been. The pivotal game was the third one, with Dave just getting the best of it until losing a break half way through from which he never recovered. Generous allowance of turkey twizzlers, onion rings and wedgies to round the evening off. :P Good luck to the worthy Plough in the Plate........

HURST B:3 BREWERS BRAVOS:2 Some insider knowledge for future tipsters: the Bravos record in all knockout matches is now an impressive Played 7, Lost 7!
John:BP Bravo:8640 A story of ever increasing returns for Bravo who mucked up his opener but came back for 1,2 and 4.5k breaks. Mr. Lear had no luck at all. Steve:4580 Paul:790 Paul couldn't transfer his Monday form to Wednesday and was beaten by a solid performance frome Steve. Chris:2390 Lynne:1180 A lot closer than the score suggests but lynne lost a couple of good scores to let Chris in. Paul:6760 Nikki:520 Mr. Jobbins was always in control of this one. IanG:1190 Spud:4470 Shame this was the dead rubber because most of it was fairly close until i took it with a last-ditch effort.
Very pleasant evening with the hurst guys. Table was a very nice "neutral" table and well set up.
Cheers all.
