New Treasurer Required

Just to say that I have now decided to stand down as treasurer at this year's AGM. Having carried out this role since 1989 I think it is now time to stand aside and give some new blood a chance.

Having just got back from a very long day in Reading where scoring and timings have been a big issues I feel there is a need for a whole new committee, new blood and those who have
the drive to take the game forward.

It will be sad to say goodbye but feel it is now the time to go.

I echo Lorin (Elsie)'s comments, but actually agree it is indeed time for that change Keith talks about. He has hinted that it would be his last year, and he should not be encouraged to stay on out of loyalty if his heart is not in it.

New blood is being encouraged, and I have already said that I have an enthusiastic candidate for the job, but Keith can you modify the title of this thread please.

We may get a few pirates and vagabonds interested in the "treasure", and we would definitely not want that!

Well (ahem !) returning quickly to topic, the only nomination we seem to have so far for Treasurer is .......George Formby.

I would like to nominate SirKT. Although he may have another position, he has always, to my mind, been extremely careful with money!! (If you know what I mean!!!)
