I would like to say well done to KT on his win last weekend, 7th time I make it.

Didn't quite get to that many Keith, but I hit the 10k mark 20 seconds ahead of Kev, but missed a split when on around 13k and unfortunately for me took the left hand white peg, I was on pace to be there or there abouts at the end and it would have been a close finish.

Lots of good billiards played on the day by the ladies as well as the men (congrats to Chris and runner up Mel) - 8 20k breaks were made on the day. tables were great with perhaps the exception of 1 and 3.

Well done to Dave who has now earned a rest - after the AGM next week of course

Thanks everyone, perhaps a bit fortunate in the semi against Keith. I was struggling to weigh up table 3 and Keith would certainly have won had he not put the break down four times.
There were some great chases - Paul setting Keith 22k, he replied with 23,700. In one of the semis, Nigel setting Phil 23k and apparently he was on target to be close until a kick occured, both balls staying up on around 17k.
I thought table 7 also played quite hard, along with 3 & 1, but a good test for the best 16 players in the country ;)
I want to also congratulate Chrissie for winning the Ladies and to Mel :o, what an achievement to win her group ahead of Jean & Lorraine. She wasn`t disgraced in the Final either, a bright prospect for the future :P


I`d like to say a big well done to Dave and all his helpers, setting up, admin etc etc., a tireless job with little reward.

Keep up the good work in 2011....................please ;D

Cheers Kevin, I didn't want to mention that. For some reason I was trying to get the one up close to the 50 pocket and then play a safety shot but I just don't know why I didn't tap up on the one up. That has got to be one of the most stupidest things that I've ever done on a Bar Billiard table and I've been beating myself up ever since!! :-[

I was surprised to receive a highest break trophy, as there didn't use to be one for this tournament. 8-)
