Please can I have the known tournament dates for 2011.
We have to provide childcare 1year7 months and parent care 89 years at the weekend when we attend tournaments, due to a lovely mum and grandchild whom we both adore and plus as Chris said the 15 year old Dalmatian from the film 101 Dalmatians ( a bit of trivia yes she was in the film as whizzer).
We are very priveleged to have people who support us but to go away to tournaments we need to book well in advance.
Could I kindly ask for dates please for next year for all AEBBA Tournaments.
Many thanks Chris

Many thanks for the dates for next year Chris & Dave.....it's a big help to those that have to make plans in advance. 8-)
Please could somebody confirm the dates for these......
Sunday ?? August (TBA) Bucks Open Princess Risborough Golf Club
August Sunday 24th ??? :o AEBBA Mixed Pairs Championship Post office Club Richfield Avenue Reading Berks The 24th is a Wednesday...... ::) ......so it could be either the 21st or 28th? ;)
November ????? AEBBA County Division 2 Championship Isn't this usually played on the same day as Division 1..... ???

Well they're probably already on their way to the annual beanfeast followed by bunfight ;D so I'll have a go at answering these for you.
1. Bucks Open - always the last arrangement to be firmed up........we have to show some forbearance, as for the last few years they've kept this one going against the odds. I'd take it as being the 7th but subject to confirmation.
2. National Mixed Pairs - I think you'll find this is the 24th July, Dave.
3. County Div 1 & Div 2 split. A motion is to be put forward at today's AGM to have only two divisions. Div 1 to have 6 teams and Div 2 to have all the rest, Div 3 being discontinued. This makes sense as for the last two years Div 3 has had only two teams. If this goes through, Divs 1 and 2 will have to be played on separate days to accomodate the extra games.

2. National Mixed Pairs - I think you'll find this is the 24th July, Dave. Over 50's & 60's already down to be played on 24th July..... would be surprised if Mixed Doubles was held on the same day.... ???

Thanks to all for getting this sorted early so we can get onto local web sites as well, also gives time to plan the year ahead. Sorry small turn out at AGM but unfortunately we are experiencing the same thing at local level with declining numbers attending and getting people onto committees. Ahead of the coming season can I say a hugh thank you to Dave and Sam for all the hard work they will put in, sometimes without appreciation. Also to those who put in hard work organising the Opens. Lets hope that we give them all our support and remember they do it for the good of the game and not for the good of their health. Without these hard working people we would not have the opportunity to enjoy playing and seeing the wonderful game played.
