Hi Tony, Just dropping by after a long time away to pass on some bar billards map updates. I was staying in the Falcon in Arncliffe (BD23 5QE) at the weekend, and was pleased to see that they've installed a 4-pin table in their guest sitting room. It's a lovely pub - formerly the pub exterior used in 'Emmerdale Farm' back in the day - and still serving beer straight from cask to jug. Well worth a visit for anyone passing through the Dales. In York, the map needs updating to Show Walmgate Ale House as having a table (beautifully renovated by our in-house table maker and mender, Graham Durant). Also, the Woolpack and the Fulford Arms no longer have tables. A bit further afield (!) Graham recently renovated a table that has been shipped out to Oslo for a Norwegian enthusiast, who developed a love of the game while visiting the Golden Ball in York, and has installed the table in his apartment. Think I've already given you Walmgate Ale House to add as a York League venue. Woolpack and Fulford Arms need to come off. Just having a look at this list and a few changes need to be made.... Magdalen Arms no longer has a table Shelley Arms has been knocked down! Jolly Postboys no longer has a table Dolphin, Wallingford - This table is now at Donnington SC Highfield SC doesn't have a table Witney Snooker Club doesn't have a table Newlands Inn - This table is currently for sale on Ebay! Planning a visit to London tomorrow, may be able to investigate one or two, meanwhile I think these can safely be removed: Daniel Gooch, Bayswater - closed Kings Head, Enfield - table gone, pool only Prince Edward, Holloway - table gone, pool only Sultan, Brixton - table gone, pool only Rutland, Hammersmith - table gone, pool only Standard, Streatham - re-opened as Rebel Inn, table removed in favour of 2 table football machines Frog, Clapham - re-opened as "Number 32" - now a gastropub Kings Head, Clapham - re-opemed as "King & Co" - now a gastropub Also the one I managed to get to: Robert Browning, Maida Vale - re-opened as the Eagle - table gone Cheers, tommo |

Hi Tony, Two brand new Brighton League venues: Ex Albion Fishersgate C/Pocket Rocket C are now playing from: Prestonville Arms, 64 Hamilton Road, Brighton, BN1 5DN. 01273 945040Ex Hove Park Tavern A are now playing from: Caxton Arms, 36 North Gardens, Brighton, BN1 3LB. 01273 387346
Thanks to the Reverend Colin Green for obtaining the new venues and to all those who were involved in making sure tables were safely removed and replaced where necessary Future fixtures will have the new venues included as their names Hove Park Tavern to come off, but Pocket Rocket to stay on as still hosts other teams. Last time I looked at the map neither the white horse or the horse and groom were on there, they are both in Sudbury and both have narrow sams tables  White horse 4 pin league Horse and groom 4 pin non league until the new season starts |

Hi Tony, These changes affect the Maidstone League: Jemma has confirmed the following: - Dragoon (above) can be added, presumably non-league
- Anchor and Hope no longer exists, kindly remove from map
This would put the Maidstone League - if it still exists - down to just 2 teams. |

West Sussex League (based either side of Chichester and Selsey) have a new website and I have picked up these venue changes relating to the season just gone:
FISHERMANS JOY, 71 East Street, Selsey PO20 0BU (2 teams)
PRINCE OF WALES, Lidsey Road, Woodgate, Chichester PO20 3ST (2 teams)
WSBBL is a 3-Pin league of course.
Prince of Wales is also a Littlehampton League venue.

Attempted a couple of visits to pubs near the Welsh border in search of bar billiards based on the map. Unfortunately our search was not fruitful.
The Cherry Tree Inn near Tintern is boarded up apparently being knocked down and turned into flats, so this can be removed.
The White Horse Inn in Soudley has not had a table in for at least 5 years and can also be removed :(

I've had a kosher email this morning warning me that my google+ pages will be closing down in April.
From what I have read this does not appear to affect google maps.
I'm not exactly with it at the moment with flu (not a cold). so am going back to my pit having checked emails.
Would appreciate someone verifying my findings are correct.

I’ve had the same email Sav. I signed up to, but never got into using, Google +; as I recall it was their social media app so when they say they are shutting it down I assume it is purely that element of their services and not maps etc

Martin is correct, it's their social media wing only and should not affect other Google applications.
There's plenty of articles covering the announcement (originally made in December), this being the best one that seems to cover the various aspects:
