Can't wait for the Plough B V Mill House result should be a grudge match but all important 8-) 8-) Tommo drew the short straw in the form of the Silver Fox, left both balls up off the break and got savaged. But the rest of the Mill House played like heroes. Peter Edwards 410 Bob Hall 7180 Jim Greensted 7400 Clive Thompson 2050 Chris Kirkham 1030 Jim Broderick 4650 Jenny Edwards 1970 Nick Hayes 2860 Alan Downs 1610 Lorraine Hall 3000 Plough B 1 Mill House 4

was certainly a much nicer top than previous and was nice to hear mark webber tell us the break was thick.
so i was on first and comprised a 2.5k lead before going back for another 3k and another 1.5k to take the first. tommo game went pear shape hitting break harder jim got them back and comprised a nice 4k break and finished off with a couple of 1k breaks near the end.
3rd game saw jim in control all the way and chris putting his 1 up behind sealed us the win and a 2-1 lead before jenny and nick were level for most of the way before a nice 1k break to make sure and put the win in our hands.
mums game i would say was unbelievable to see what went on both not starting off great level and sudenly a 4 ball shot mama hall or may have been a 5 ball shot giving the break back to put together a 1.5k break before coming off giving alan 30 seconds to catch but he couldnt get break back game over and points to us.
excellent sandwhiches tonight great food nice banter and good to see pub warm but not boiling tonight.
look forward to second half of the season and has been a pleasure playing for the millhouse and staying unbeaten throught the 1st half of the season

A good night had by all. The top played unusually dead which was scoring reflected. Twig & Glyn both got breaks of around 2k mid game to do enough to win. Gordon had no luck.... Mr Crofton had the mid game 2k break for the away win. Noggsy & Ray were nip & tuck all the way. Noggsy got 600 after the bar went including a 200 pot for the game. Mental note Adam... When on a high scoring break, don't get complacent and always be focused. 1 up means 1 up.... not both down!!!
STOUT HOUSE 4 - 1 WINDMILL 'A'

excellent sandwhiches tonight great food nice banter and good to see pub warm but not boiling tonight. ........and I had a piece of beetroot the size and shape of a bar billiards D. ;D Just to add one last comment on this match, it was good to see 'Iron Man' Darrell getting about with great agility without the crutches. Marion thinks this is too early really, but his broken bones (leg and wrist) seem to have mended within five weeks, which is incredible. The damage to their house has also been rectified surprisingly quickly, and systematically all rooms are now being decorated to give a new look for 2011. They will be glad to put this annus horriblis behind them and Darrell is even looking forward to wielding his cue again in the new year. 8-)

Agree he has made a remarkable recovery ;D

Limeburners 3-2 Southwater Postponed game from the 7th played on the 14th.
Weve managed to maintain a great level of consistancy in the first half of the season, managing to avoid losing on only two occasions-its some form of consistancy anyway!
Leg 1 was Tom vs Ding. Both players decided to knock as many pegs down as possible. I saw 5 go down-there may have been more!! Ding lost approx 2k on a break which allowed Tom to put Swater 1 up.
Gordan broke against Tony in leg 2 and played a solid leg again. He may be losing his sight but I can honestly say, he is playing the best ive seen in 3 or so years! 2-0 to Swater
From here, it all went downhill with me leading the drop!
I played Steve and although added 1500 from the break, Steve came back to take a marginal mead. Although the game was never out of reach, I was always 1 step behind. 2-1 to Swater
leg 4 was Chris P against Chip. Chip was in fine form and Chris couldnt find a great amount of rhythem. No real drama but a solid win for the landlord. All square at 2-2
The final leg saw Jeff be taught a lesson by the aweome Mick Johnson. Mick fired in some hefty scores (no scorecard to hand-sorry) to claim a great win for limeburners.
As always with Ding and co.-a great evening with some "proper ham" sandwiches to quote Chris. Table played well albeit v quick with good cushions. Did have a slope but nothing that anyone could argue about as we all had to play on it.
I think Chip must be competing with the Plough of old for hottest pub now though ;)
