RGStowe or Dick'ead asked how to import data onto the site to save all that typing. Being an ex-amiga owner he is not used to using keyboards ;)
There are more than one way of doing this and will depend on where the data is being copied from.
The easy direct method from Excel is:
Use mouse to select the area of data you want to transfer and then right click with mouse and select 'Copy'.
Go to the posting you want to put the data in and again right click with mouse and choose 'Paste'.
Almost by magic you now have your data shown like here:
Here is some crap data
Game1 fred 7000 tom 4000
Game2 mick 8000 dick 5000
Game3 paul 9000 harry 6000
There are some instances where this will not work, however, so use an image (picture) of the data.
To do this the image has to be hosted, but luckily this is easy to do, it just takes longer. Follow these steps:
You will need a decent graphics package, Paint Shop Pro is very good and FREE. Dont use MS Paint it is crap.
With data showing on screen, press 'PrintScreen' key.
Open graphics program (PSP) and select 'Paste as new image'
Choose the 'Selection' tool and drag a box around the data you want to post on forum.
On the Menu choose 'Image' then 'Crop to selection'
Image will now be just the portion you selected.
On the Menu choose 'File' then 'Save As'.
In the pull down menu for 'Save as type' choose GIF as it's small in size. Give the file a name ie 'crapdata.gif' and save.
Make sure you save it somewhere where you can find it 'Desktop' is good.
Now put it onto the web, I often use this one as its so easy tinypic.com/.
Click 'Browse' and then find the file and click 'Upload Image'.
A new page will now show with a number of options, the link you are interested in is the 3rd one (Forum 1 Hotlink) so click this box. Then right click and select copy.
Come back to your forum post and select paste.
The link should look like this without the **

Thats it done.......
This method can be used to put any pictures you have on the site, however use the JPG or PNG as filetype or 90% of the colours will be removed.
Another tutorial brought to you by the person who doesn't post here any more :(
