Interleague series 4 postponed match played 13/03/11 at The Locomotive
Paul Olver 3010 Roy Jenkins 1490 Alan Messer 14060 Gary Sweeney 400 Jason Crouch 3510 Nigel Pead 1310 Dave Simmonds 1310 Colin Southouse 7590 Dave Hampton 2600 Chris Turner 3750 Paul Clifford 2400 Martin Crowhurst 3380 Steve Beach 4410 Lee Calcott 5270
The visitors arrived late at this match due to a road accident closing the A27 at Brighton, after a disastrous start by the visitors allowing the home team to take a 3-0 lead with Alan Messer getting a 10,000+ break on his way to a fantastically solid score of 14060.
Colin Southouse managed to stop the rot with a good win against the break, eventually breaking to the left as the right hand break was causing the visitors some considerable difficulties.
Chris Turner and Martin Crowhurst continued the good work leveling the score at 3-3 and setting up a great final game. Lee Calcott & Steve Beach had a scrappy first few minutes but with a nice 2.5k break left handed lee came out 3000 ahead with 5mins to go. Steve got the break back scoring 3000 with only a few mins to go, after some tooing and froing Lee cleared up the balls and played the table out with another 1000. In the end the game and match turned on who was on the table when the bar dropped.
Littlehampton 3 Eastbourne 4

Interleague Match Result 20/03/11 Wothing C v Eastbourne at The Gardeners Portslade
Ricky Cunningham 9330 3570 Colin Southouse Dave Jones 2080 8450 Chris Turner Colin Green 5120 3650 Gary Sweeney Steve Aylemore 5120 1710 Roy Jenkins Edge Butler 1870 4830 Martin Crowhurst Gina Sherratt 2620 5340 Lee Calcott Tony (the luck) Jenner 9090 2620 Nigel Pead
Worthing 4 Eastbourne 3
Games generally went with the break, another decider required after games were tied 3-3. TJ takes to the table and after a slow start takes the game and match with solid breaks and claims Eastbournes shot of the season award (Jammy £$%^&*& award). with one ball set 6" above the hundred hole completely masked by the black peg TJ takes a shot off the side cushion cuts the white into the 100 hole the red bounces off the other side cushion and also ends up in the 100 to clear the balls and get the break back. We almost caught a little grin breaking its way through the chissled recesses of TJ's face.
Great match, good fun throughout, worthing C get their revenge and are deserved winners

Hi Eastbourne bb fans, Attached current Eastbourne interleague results sheet theres a lot of info crammed in and i've now added an extra segment which calculates individual scoring rates in points per minute on the table. Am awaiting the next revision of sussex rankings which will be included in my next issue. There are assumptions relating to points per minute rates to be aware of as follows:- 1.Total time on each game is 17minutes 2. No allowance for time once bar is down 3. Table time is proportional to total points scored 4. No allowance for scores lost through fouls etc. Regs cs Attachments:
