The Kent Classic was won by Kevin Tunstall, who beat Nigel Senior in the final.
Semi finalists: Dave France & Tony Walsh
QF: Richard Wooton, Chris Reeves, Ian Lelliott, Gareth Lloyd.
I'm sure that others will post further details in due course.

Well done to KT for winning the Kent Classic. He gave me more chances than he usually does but ultimately I failed to take them but I was chuffed to make a good defence of the trophy.
Sussex had an impressive 7 out of 8 quarter finalists and 10 out of the last 16! Hopefully that bodes well for the county champs in Sept!
Well done to Keith Sheard for winning the plate in a top final against Paul Sainsbury
Many thanks to Pete Sainsbury and helpers for their hard work in running the day

Congratulations to KT on winning the Kent Classic in an excellent day up at Tonbridge.
My thanks also to Paul and his team of helpers on arranging the day so well, looking forward to next year already! ;D

Yes congratulations to Katie, awesome as usual.
And to Nigel, who must have been relieved that Chris, Richard and Gareth made the later stages so they could chip into the curry fund, as too much has been on him alone recently !
Thank you for Mama Hall for doing the driving, which meant that tommo could have a drop of the amber nectar for once. 8-)

Well done Pete and the Tunbridge Wells crew.
An excellently organized day. It seemed very strange not to be up to my neck in organization!!

Cracking day, high class bar billiards. Well done to KT and bad luck Nigel ( great effort in defence.) Especially good chase down by KT on table 7 in the semi against Dave France, Dave up around 8k on a tricky top, and needed all of Kevs experience and high skills to prevail.
What a high class plate final with Paul building a lead against the break of around 5k, then adding a furthur 7k before leaving Keith chasing 12k deficet, and how he chased it down eventually paying the table out with about 15k giving a third leg total of 23k in a plate final.
Well organised and thanks to all those who put in the hard work to make a successful day.

I also add my congratulations to Kevin for the win at the Kent Classic, and commiserations to Nigel. I had the pleasure of scoring the final, as I had for the last 2 years, and the standard of play seems to get better every year. It goes to show the rest of the players how the very best play on a top that was not as easy as they made it out to be, as those that had played on that table will testify. That is in no way a critisism of any of the tables that was played on yesterday, just shows that the very best are capable of adapting to a situation quicker than most. I would also like to thank everybody who spoke to me after the presentations were over and wished me all the very best as I am about to move away to another country, ( if all goes well ) hopefully within the next 4 - 6 months. The best wishes I received will always bring fond memories of good friendships that have been made through the game we all enjoy. I will not embaress anybody in particular, but suffice to say to every-one
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL
Dave

Thanks to everyone`s kind remarks. Tables in general were very good, just a couple of tricky ones which I had the pleasure of playing :P, but wouldn`t it be boring if they were all the same ???
Well done to Pete, Paul, Brian, Dave and all the other helpers who chipped in as well and what a nice change in temperature after the last few years. No betty swollocks this time :-[
Hard luck to Nigel in the final. Strange though, although we`re ranked 1 & 2, we very rarely meet in an Open. Not that I`d want to of course ;)
