Tommo, I don't know if you've noticed, but many of these girls aren't wearing a vest!
They'll catch their death!

For me, someone who hates the talentless crap that seems to make it big these days, I'm really quite impressed. She has a very decent voice and the songwriting is really quite good...

Thank you for your reaction, H. 8-)
She appeared on one of the morning shows (interviewed by Susanna Reid I think) and sang live in the studio. She has 'perfect pitch'.
Intelligent girl, too, she graduated from Leeds University with first class honours.

If well stressed and the brain is going to fast, I google Sinead Lohan, and click on To Romana. Can't do those click on http thingies, maybe Tommo can for me. One of the very best Dylan covers. H, don't bother, you will hate it. TSO
happy to oblige - tommo

Never got to go, but there will be other times, I'm sure. But last night Margo and I went to see Little Boots at Shepherds Bush Empire. 8-) You can keep your Lily Allens, Winehouses, Pixie Lott and Lady GaGa, Little Boots is absolutely amazing ! It's electro-pop but her songs (she writes them all herself) are tuneful and stick in the memory. The place was packed and she had the audience in the palm of her hand for 90 minutes - and underwent numerous costume changes, sometimes stripping parts off between numbers ! :P One minute she's like Kylie, prancing around in hotpants, the next she sits at the piano in a dressing gown and does a Kate Bush number. Best bit was the encore where she started singing 'Stuck On Repeat' unplugged, and then burst into life jumping from the top of the stage and launched into the electropop version ! :o I've seen some gigs in my time, but would rate this in my top three. 8-)

Really agree absolutely great voice.
Not very keen on the words of the song, tune itself is great.

Not bad, Q. Pixie Lott meets Kelly Clarkson. And more charismatic than Ellie Goulding (who I've seen 'live'). Does she write her own songs?

No, this song is from her (their) Covers Vol. 1 album. This particular number was written by Bruno Mars.

But, as covers go, this is a particularly good one. IMHO.

This is quite rare, and demonstrates some of the vagaries of the record industry:
[edit - video of Run removed as no longer loads - tommo]
Leona's version of Snow Patrol's Run rocketed to number one on downloads alone, and was never released as a single - in this country !
It was however released in Germany and I managed to get hold of a copy - and lucky me, it has a video track of Leona in the forest similar to this Spanish version.

Had record token for birthday, so just got round to spending it on Simon & Garfunkel's Greatest Hits. Tommo keeps borrowing it though to listen to in the garden.

Playing in the Woolpack last night: When questioned, the landlord said it was Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor by Dutch singer Caro Emerald. 8-) Jazzy, 1930's feel. Anyone who likes Paloma Faith would like this. 8-)

Another artist/duet that I've net heard of before but it was playing in the pub last Thursday, his voice reminds me of Peter Gabriel and the some makes me think of "Dont give up" with Kate Bush, not only that but its a good video.
