Chris, I think that Gary was talking about something similar for Guernsey Open as well... i know the jersey world championships are planning some very interesting changes this year which means players will have more games and i intend to persuade our committee to adopt the same approach. hopefully, making our open more appealing. .... which would be great. 8-) I thought it was a great idea to include a pairs competition on the Saturday and hope that can be retained in future years as well, sure it could be fitted in before the Internationals get played although it may mean an earlier (10.30-11am) start..... ;)

Just to add our comments on the weekend............ A bit scary on the return voyage, as Chrissie says, but the years have led us to realise that Weymouth is never as smooth a crossing as to Poole or Pompey. A further shock awaited when we discovered that our 10-month old kitten had not only broken the cat-flap but also got into the conservatory and damaged an ornament and wrecked the blinds. ::) tommo and margo Double trouble with the CAT then ::)

Dear Organisers
Could I ask that when you put in the breaks re finals (and Jersey) that you do it when food is still being served. Please check with the hotels that you use as venues.
and give us time to have a meal.
Many thanks Chris
