Tables' Ladder at the 7/10ths stage............
1 Brewers (1) (H 15230, Jock 10920, Del 7870) *Commendation* 2 Mill House (2) (tommo 6080) 3 Hurst Club (3) (Boball 14490, Jenny 5380) 4 Eight Bells (4) 5 Plough P/G (5) 6 Watermill (7) (N.Cragg 5k, D.Newnham 5k) 7 Laughing Fish (6) 8 United Services (9) (SteveKing 10730, Sparky 5830) 9 St Francis (8) 10 Greyhound (11) (no score of 5k, but 2 x 4ks and 2 x 3ks) 11 Woolpack (13) (Malc 7830, Bravo 7500) 12 Plough L/B (10) (no scores of any note) 13 Horns Lodge (12)
No change for the top three, but Hurst could well claw back 2nd place next week with no game on t'Mill. Woolpack lift off the bottom, and USC continue to improve, rising one rung.

Tables' Ladder, with 23 weeks down and 7 to go............
1 Brewers (1) (Dilly 5k, A F/W 5k) 2 Hurst Club (2) (Adam 11480, S.King 10780, Spud 5040) *Commendation* 3 Mill House (3) (N.Brown 8400, G.Daniels 5440) 4 Eight Bells (4) 5 Plough P/G (5) 6 United Services (7) (T.Gasson 7650) 7 Laughing Fish (6) 8 Watermill (8) (R.Storr 5k, K.Stenning 5k) 9 St Francis (9) 10 Plough L/B (12) (G.Parsons 6k) 11 Greyhound (10) (only 2 scores of 3k) 12 Woolpack (11) (no scores of any note) 13 Horns Lodge (13)
Plough L/B leapfrog both Greyhound and Woolpack, where there were no scores of note; whilst USC take advantage of the 'resting' Laughing Fish.

Tables' Ladder............
1 Brewers (1) 2 Hurst Club (2) 3 Mill House (3) 4 Eight Bells (4) 5 United Services (6) 6 Plough P/G (5) 7 Laughing Fish (7) 8 St Francis (9) 9 Watermill (8) 10 Plough L/B (10) 11 Greyhound (11) 12 Woolpack (12) 13 Horns Lodge (13)
Only four venues were in action for the Team Cup & Plate semis: the Plough P/G, Watermill, Woolpack and Horns Lodge. Disappointing scores were reported, no player making 5k on any, although I have had to make an ssumption with the Watermill in the absence of a report to the contrary. (Just three 3k-plusses on the Plough, two at the Horns Lodge and one on the Woolpack.)

it is a shame to see the lodge table down the bottom as it is a lovelly table but if the home players regulary take out the black peg when they have no hope of winning the leg then there will not be many good scores there. this is a great venue & a good social night out.

Tables' Ladder at the 5/6th stage............
1 Brewers (1) (Bravo 8630, Paul M-R 5330) 2 Mill House (4) (tommo 9930) 3 Eight Bells (3) 4 Hurst Club (2) (all scores below 4k) 5 United Services (5) (Nick 10390, Doug 7150, Sparky 5930) *Commendation* 6 Laughing Fish (6) 7 Plough P/G (7) 8 Plough L/B (9) (Mark Webber 5k) 9 St Francis (8) 10 Watermill (10) (Kim Stenning 7k) 11 Woolpack (12) (5340 break by Jan Bithell) 12 Greyhound (11) (no scores of note) 13 Horns Lodge (13)
Despite its commendation this week. USC has to stay put as no table can drop more than 2 rungs in one go..........Likewise, Watermill can't benefit as a table with no game cannot drop more than one place.

cant wait to see this table ladder this week as tommo said our table cant go up 2 places but yet his can and last week the millhouse had 1 score of 9k but last night we had a 10k total game an 11k game a 9k game a 8.5k game and a5.5k game please explain your method tommo as to me you dont use logic at all and the table ladder is becoming more of a joke. for example
Barry T 4410, H 4130 8 k game Graham D 940, Andy Brooks 470 1400 game wow so what if he had 5k on board before pegging does not matter Mick H 3670, Jim Ashford 2980 6k game tommo 9930, Ray Carpenter 500 10k game Alan D 3130, Les Whiteman 2300 5k game
and that is with prem players that are no 1-2-3-4 in the list but still not a reasonable excuse is it

I've no idea how it will work out yet for this week yet, Bob, as I have to wait for a report for scores made on each table. But this is the methodology - which despite all the barbs I have stuck to throughout!
1. I dial up last week's list. 2. I make the last week figure (in brackets) the same as 'this week'. 3. I arm myself with the latest results, with any scores or comments alongside, and handwrite an arrow up, down or sideways to match the findings. For example, so far this week I have:
(arrow up) Hurst - P.Hall 8770, Barry T 7390, Boball, AlanD, Lorraine Hall all 5k+ (arrow down) Horns Lodge - only two scores made of 2k + (arrow down) St Francis - TSO 5k break, however 7 scores below 2k and the table had been moved (arrow up) Plough Plumpton - BBW 11360, Ron 5130, Darren 5090
4. I highlight in bold all the teams with 'arrow up' and red highlight any with 'arrow down'. 5. I then swap rungs for the tables, either two or one up for 'good week' and either one or two down for 'bad week'. 6. Finally I reallocate this week's numbering, so that the week's movement is visible. 7. The general principles of ladder challenges apply, whereby a) you can't rise or fall by more than 2 rungs in one go; and b) you can't rise or drop by more than 1 rung if there was no game on the table that week.
That's it, really: Sometimes because of the caveats in 7) a deserved upwards movement is not possible, which really seems to cause much disappointment. But all I can do is assure you that I follow the method above with complete impartiality, and my comment yesterday to Bob about the Hurst being upwardly mobile but not being able to dislodge the Mill house is precisely because there was no game there this week and it can't therefore drop to lower than 3rd.
NB. Recent exchanges on the whys and wherefores have not been lost but have been moved across to "Week 27 Banter and Tipsters" - tommo

Tables' Ladder after week 26 (just four matches left)............
1 Eight Bells (3) (Doug 10520, PaulJ 8940, Nick 8790, SteveK 6160) *Commendation* 2 Brewers (1) (AFW 5k, Dilly 5k) 3 Mill House (2) 4 Hurst Club (4) (P.Hall 8770, BarryT 7390, Boball, Lorraine & AlanD all 5ks) 5 United Services (5) 6 Plough P/G (7) (D.Ingram 11360, RonS 5130, DarrenN 5090) 7 Laughing Fish (6) (no scores of note) 8 Plough L/B (8) 9 St Francis (9) (TSO 5k but seven scores below 2k mean status quo maintained) 10 Watermill (10) (no scores available) 11 Woolpack (11) 12 Greyhound (12) 13 Horns Lodge (13) (only 2 scores made it to 2k)
Ros's Eight Bells table leaps to the top with a commendation. Otherwise, a log-jam as Brewers' sideways movement means they only drop one place, likewise Mill House with no game only drops one.

Tables' Ladder with 3 weeks to go after this............
1 Brewers (2) (N.Brown 16410, A.Bateup 10350, R.Spurrier 10110 - plus 2 x 6ks)*Commendation. 2 Eight Bells (1) 3 Mill House (3) (D.Taylor 5000) 4 Hurst Club (4) (D.Ingram 6220, Jan B 5610) 5 United Services (5) 6 Plough P/G (6) 7 Laughing Fish (7) 8 Watermill (10) (M.Range 5370) 9 Plough L/B (8) (no scores of any note) 10 St Francis (9) 11 Woolpack (11) (L.Hall 4860, B.Hall 4790) 12 Horns Lodge (13) 13 Greyhound (12) (no scores of any note)
Brewers take back top slot with considerable help from the previous leaders who helped to make a great match.

Tables' Ladder with just two weeks to go............
1 Brewers (1) (Dilly 8k, Farmer 7k, Trevor 6k) 2 Eight Bells (2) (N.Brown 6200; table pulled out of position during match by opposition player) 3 Hurst Club (4) (K.Hall 6370, P.Hall 5440) 4 Mill House (3) 5 United Services (5) (T.Gasson 9080) 6 Plough P/G (6) (A.Bateup 9060, D.Ingram 7720, D.Newnham 5910, D.Knight 5660) 7 Laughing Fish (7) (Henry 10420) 8 Watermill (8) (N.Cragg 8620, G.Daniels 7670, M.Holmwood 6970) 9 Plough L/B (9) 10 St Francis (10) 11 Woolpack (11) 12 Greyhound (13) 13 Horns Lodge (12)
Greyhound back off the bottom courtesy of a new top with a couple of 4ks recorded, whereas nothing big reported from the Horns v St Francis match. Hurst take back third place at the expense of the resting Mill House.

Tables' Ladder............
1 Brewers (1) (H 9k, Rik Dewdney 8k, A Brooks 6k, Adam Bateup 5k) 2 Hurst Club (3) (Boball 13190, Pete Hall 7620, Darrell 5580) 3 Eight Bells (2) 4 Mill House (4) (SuperG 10420, tommo 5460) 5 United Services (5) (AFW 6920, Jock 6590, Derek Taylor 5770) 6 Plough P/G (6) 7 Laughing Fish (7) 8 St Francis (10) (Nick Brown 8060, TSO 6700) 9 Woolpack (11) (Kim Stenning 6k) 10 Watermill (8) (no score of 5k) 11 Plough L/B (9) (no scores of note) 12 Greyhound (12) 13 Horns Lodge (13)
As we enter the last week, Hurst are back up to 2nd, but the Brewers top looks unassailable. Watermill and Plough had disappointing weeks and the recently-improved St Francis and Woolpack tables were the ones which benefitted.

The Final Tables' Ladder............
1 Brewers (1) (T.Greenyer 7920, Jock 7060, Dilly 6860, Ian Giffen 5050) 2 Hurst Club (2) (K.Hall 11k, P.Hall 9k) 3 Eight Bells (3) 4 Mill House (4) 5 Plough P/G (6) (D.Knight 7150, R.Sheridan 6560) 6 United Services (5) 7 Laughing Fish (7) (H 9k, R.Carpenter 5k) 8 St Francis (8) 9 Watermill (10) (K.Stenning 7k) 10 Woolpack (9) 11 Greyhound (12) (T.Rees 6040) 12 Horns Lodge (13) (D.Mahy 5570) 13 Plough L/B (11) (no score made 4k)
Good scores were recorded on all the home tables this week - except strangely where the League Champions played.
The Brewers and Hurst tops have performed consistently well throughout the season and would appear to fully merit their placings as 1st and 2nd respectively.
