Well done Kyle, you have really put your heart into this and getting 11 entries is amazing. Considering how many Under 30's there are compared to how many Over 50's there are you have worked wonders - very disappointing that there are now only FIVE entries for Over 50's this Sunday :(.

Well done Pauline on an excellent win today, you played really well 😊. Was a very enjoyable day with an excellent format where we all played each other. Thanks to everyone, one of the best days I've had at Bar Billiards for a long time 😊.

I always thought it was 11am be there for an 11.30am start from previous years, but since the change I have now organised all transport for 11am start, and I know that the likes of Steve Allard and Terry Isard who have to travel on to Herts would definitely not be happy to start later - sorry Tony :(

I love her - been a fan forever, sad I know but have all her albums (all signed) and have been to see her a few times :). Not many people have heard of her, so good to hear that you have. I also like Sia, people don't realise how many hits she has written for others.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Open, which hopefully you all enjoyed. Thank you to the Cressex Club for their continued support.
Well done to Nigel for winning the 18th Bucks Open, to Lee the losing finalist (here's to next year Lee - 3rd time lucky) and to the losing semi finalists Tony and Mark. Also congratulations to Bob Hall on winning the plate (even though he slaughtered me in the semi final!!) and to Steven the losing finalist. The highest men’s break of 20,020 was won by Nigel, and the ladies break of 4,820 was won by Pauline.
Lastly, thank you to everyone from Wycombe who helped unload/load the tables (we managed to leave a little earlier this year - 2.00am!!), Ernie & Matt for setting them up, Dave for the usual delivery/collection, Doug for all your help, the table sponsors, Sue & Jeff for selling raffle tickets brilliantly again (with the help of Cliff), all the people who donated prizes (especially Syl Murphy who every year never lets us down with brilliant prizes - one day you will win a Drone Bob Hall), Pauline for folding the tickets as usual, Nigel for doing the format (as he does every year and would be lost without him), Jean for your format which saved me so much time this year, and lastly to my lovely partner in running the day Chris (although you are right Chris, playing and running it just is not possible, I apologise for getting to the Plate semi and leaving you to it), all of us in Wycombe thank you – and as ever, please can we book you for next year :)
PLEASE NOTE THAT NEXT YEARS OPEN WILL BE A WEEK LATER - SUNDAY AUGUST 12TH
See you all soon Dawn

Hi Nigel
Bucks will definitely send a MEN'S 7 team, but unfortunately no ladies team. I would definitely be interested in playing in the ladies select side if less than 14 teams enter.
Thanks Dawn

I have no doubt we have quite a few that will remember all of these pubs Clive, and probably played Bar Billiards in most of themn :) :)!! It's really, we used to have well over 60 teams in the Wycombe leagues, and when you won the premier, or the the mens/ladies singles it really meant something. These days we have eight teams playing out of six venues :( I will make sure next time I see Charlie I will show him the article and see how many he remembers :)

List has been updated.
Please - if you are planning on entering please let us know. We are doing the draw on Tuesday 25th July, so will leave it open until then. We are only up to 47, this is 30 down on last year, we really don't want to make this the last Bucks Open :(
Thank you Dawn :)

As with most of the other opens so far this year we are really struggling with numbers. Please if would like to enter either give your entry forms to Matt Jones or Cliff Slade on Sunday at the Kent Open, or send them in the post. We really don't want to have to cancel :(
Thank you Dawn

Thank you for those lovely words Tony, I will certainly pass them on. Yes, you are right Charlie has given us so much. He has been our Secretary for 46 years now. He and Ede had a lovely evening, there were over 50 of us at the Totteridge Community Centre and he was so pleased. They have been married nearly 69 years now - such an achievement. His actual birthday is on Tuesday, but he will be with his family. We all owe him so much for all his work over the years. I have some lovely stories that he typed up for me about Bar Billiards - I will share them one day, they are very funny.
