Have been holding onto the form as still confirming a few entries, but I thought I'd put us in now so we won't miss out.
Please Add: L.Hickman, P.Hickman, C.Oakley, J.Whitle (if not already entered)
Monies will be sorted out asap, maybe at the next committee meeting or something?

Gardeners B 3 - 2 Henty A
C.Oakley 4670 - 3860 J.Whittle D.Driscoll 1790 - 5640 R.Driver L.Hickman 5790 - 2640 R.Appleby D.Hickman 2440 - 750 D.Whittle P.Hickman 2210 - 3000 T.Appleby
Very good game once again with some close games and some not so :)
Chris got us off to a nice start with a solid win over James, although James had him beat until the last 5 minutes when Chris decided to put in a lovely 3k break to just pip him at the end. 1-0
Danny got rattled after only breaking off with 1k or so, letting Rob in early. Rob jumped on every opportunity that Dan gave him as he never really got going. 1-1
Myself up next against Ros, after getting back on the break I choked out again at 5k (5290 break), putting myself ahead and chasing a higher score that never came! Ros had opporunities by getting the break back and started to claw back but the 5k was a bit much. 2-1
Damo was keen to force the win, and against an unlucky Derek, he did exactly that with an incredible score of almost 2.5k without getting the break back once, as all te balls seemed to be on the top cushion all of the time. 3-1
Pete up next with no pressure, only pride to play for. Very good game right to the end but it was our oppenents tha were after a consolation game back against us to make the score a little more respectable. The 3-2 was well deserved.
Hotdogs and Roast 'tatoes went down a treat, with a nice helping of MUSTARD for the WINNERS ONLY!
Up the gardeners!

Marine View B 3 - 2 Gardeners B
John 170 - 3180* P.Hickman Mo *2880 - 1930 D.Hickman Del 600 - 3520* C.Oakley Matt *2600 - 1380 L.Hickman Mark 2270 - *B/P D.Driscoll
Disaster night for the 'top' team, Pete made light work of making it 1-0 although the table has clearly been altered.
Damo was unlucky to never really get going and Mo had enough for him to be just out of stretch.
Chris made a lovely 2k opening break that was just too much to ask of Del on a very tricky top (it's been moved since it's played nice!).
I felt I had what it took to chase the break but not the case, multiple times I cleared a whole table of balls but the last one whipped and kicked everywhere no matter what I did. Matt left me a red ball in the 200 cannon shot that I slow rolled so now it was a 3 ball cannon that he executed beautifully folllowed by another 2 red balls in the 100 to just stretch that 1k in front that I couldn't get.
I was quite confident that Danny could pull this off as he had just won his doubles match on this table a week before. Unfortunately that wasnt the case, and probably produced a negative effect, as the table was so different it took time to adapt. Mark and Dan were neck and neck until a clumsy shot round the black peg saw the end of our hopes of sealing Div 3 then.
Great night of banter followed up with some lovely sandwiches to chomp on :)

I understand Matt Adetepe beat Dan Driscoll in the Licencees, Can anyone confirm this as i have not been told by either player, and cant remember who told me :-[ ::) :) Kev - this is not correct, spoke to Dan today and he said they had not played it yet I don't know how old this is but I can confirm this. The list was incorrect Danny and Mert haven't played their game yet and were joking about how Danny had lost before he played!!

Swan B 6 - 0 Oh Dew Drop Inn
Pete B 11730 - 560 Paul Pete H 3990 - 320 Tony Lorenzo 1210.0 - 320 Tony Chris C 9970 - 1860 Steve M Lorenzo & Chris O 6910 - 0 Del & Steve Pete H & Chris C 4720 - 2010 Paul & Tony
Break are: Pete Brown 4100 & 6950, Chris Cox 7990 and Lorenzo 5270.
Great game for the home side. All of us came together which is a rarity. Rock, paper scissors decided Pete Brown was out for the doubles despite an awesome 11k game. He set the bar high in the first game so we all set to chase him down but Chris C hit the wall at 7990 and myself at 5270.
Its confirmed, the score is still 6-0.

Thanks TJ :) Our table is playing nice at the moment, what do you guys think? The break is a bit too easy but the 1-up is missable, and does get missed. Table has a roll but is consistant and playable.

I'm probably way out at the moment as I'm trying to keep track of all these competitions :)
Only differences I see on yours TJ is in your masters rankings, My score should be 26 + 1 = 27 not 26 and Chris Oakley should be 20.5 + 1 + 1 = 22.5 not 21.5.
Thanks for correcting Damo's score vs schonner (wk9) :)

the number of points won between the teams involved, for the total number of league matches played against each other during the same season will determine position. This is a bit grammatically confusing but I'm sure it makes sense to you guys. What I can figure from it is that it goes down to the GF column and if that's the same, then it goes Spanish league style rules, where it's a case of having to beat the opposition to place above them? If the GF is even (e.g. won 1 lost 1 for both sides) it goes down to the amount of games won against each other? If that's even (e.g. home win 3-2, away loss 3-2) theres a playoff at a neutral venue? :)

With 3 games in Division Three to go it is possible for Henty A to catch the Gardeners B. Indeed, although we would have to lose our remaing 3 games straight which is impossible right? Nope, deja vu anyone? We lost it last year in this same position! If this does happen, how is the league decided? :)

And in the event of a tie in games won, does it roll down to drawn games?

Does it go down to difference in the end? As if Dolphin A lose and Henty draw they are equal and alos if Swan B lose and BLEP wins, we are also level for the B div title :s

Also, I talked to Helen last night and she said she has emailed the appropriate parties in favour of ammending the incorrect scorecard from wk9. Should read 4-1 not 3-2 (Damo's and Andy's score were accidently swapped over when written down).

Gardeners B 5 - 0 Schooner
D.Hickman 3610 - 1650 J.Shurey C.Oakley 3270 - 0 A.Cleveland L.Hickman 7310 - 1600 H.Cleveland D.Driscoll 2110 - 1540 F.Kelly P.Hickman 4680 - 2750 A.Brewster
Damo set the standard by clearing the balls left by Jay and knocked in a 2180 break, Jay came back with 1650 but Damo made it 3610 by the end.
Chris next played a very unlcuky Andy, we lost count how many pegs and no scores they were - it just wasn't his night. Chris looks comfortable but the bar went a few minutes early for some reason but no-one realised until later on when we'd played 3 games in just under an hour!
Keen to make it 3-0, I took advantage of Helen's early mistake off the break and was keen to get the highest break trophy but broke down on 3600. Helen came back with a respectable score and I still had 5 minutes to chase my first 10k but no luck, only ended up on 7310 :(
Danny took it in turns with his opponent to struggle potting balls!! Not sure quite what happened but Frank and Danny just couldn't get going, despite gettting breaks back a few times
Pete up last against Arthur, very even game around the 2.5k mark with about 5 minutes to go. Pete decided to pip him at the post with a final 2k break to seal the whitewash.
Great game as always, lovely food as always (thanks Dan!), plenty of banter! Look forward to the return leg!
Also heard the West Tarring Club won 5-0 :)

Gardeners B 2 - 3 New Sussex Hotel B
I'm sure Dave will post the scores up :)
Great games all round, Damo up first and lost an 1800 break and lost by about the same in the end. 0-1
As Bob couldn't play, Pete played Kim, balls up the table for the majority of the game but Pete had enough to bring it all square again 1-1
Myself up next against Steve, he opened with a 5 or 6k break and I only came back with 2k leaving the door open for another 3k against me. Had one more go to stop the 10k against me and he ended 60 short :D Well played 1-2
Chris up against Dave was a good little battle as Chris came off earlier than he hoped but in the end the balls ran for Chris 2-2
Deciding game and we were hopeful for our rookie :) Danny vs Colin. Colin off with an early lead and Danny soon levelled the scores, when a stray shot ended up with the red ball leaning against the black peg and was quite tempting for Dan to drop it, but it whipped the 200 and toppled the BP. 2-3 NSH.
Well played all round, Mr Jones admitted he thought it would be a close one and it was :)

Dolphin B 3 - 3 Henty B Henty A 4 - 2 Swan A Swan B 6 - 0 Dew Drop BLEP vs Locomotive Dolphin A - BYE
A bit of confusiong with the Dew Drop game. The fixtures were messed up before xmas resulting in us going over to them to play, with the view of playing the return game back at ours this week!
Problem being is that this wasn't noted down well by members on both teams! :) I managed to round up the troops our end, but unfortunately our oposition had done the same at their place, expecting us!
Oh dear, as to not appear unsportsmanly we're trying to sort out a date to play this game in the future. I have put 6-0 just for my own stats, but if we do play this game I expect this to change ;)

Gardeners B 1 - 4 Marine View B
D.Driscoll 2120 - 2270 Dell P.Hickman 2340 - 2380 John C.Oakley 4170 - 3770 Matt J.Hickman 890 - 1100 Mo L.Hickman 5840 - 7860 M.Senior
One of the best games of the season so far. The scoreline might not seem like it for us lot but every game was evenly matched and could've gone either way.
Danny was first up against dell, who both struggled to keep their breaks with the huge left hand roll the table has at the moment. Very evenly matched, but a string of no-scores from Dan gave Dell the chance to pip him at the post.
Pete Vs John. Pete very keen to make up for the first games loss in the 2nd game. Again, both players struggled to build scores but kept them a little more than the first two did. Some unlucky play from both sides made them about even as the bar dropped. Pete still on the table, made enough to ensure a 200 shot to win if he missed the 100. He did exactly that and John took his time to get the angle, and wound up for a smacker straight down the 200!
Chris and Matt were next, things were looking promising for the visitors as a lovely opening break from Matt looked to set the pace. This was until a nasty whip at the top end saw the falling of a peg. The two then battled it out to the very end, where Chris just did enough to give us a little hope.
With a no-show from Damo, our super sub Jane had to rush in from Worthing to take on Mo. Neither could really get going and was very painful to watch some beautiful shots be made in vain by not keeping the scores. Mo had just enough to force the red ball 200 when Jane inadvertantly potted the red.
Myself vs Mark for the finale, and what a game. Mark decided he fancied the highest break award and set off with a cracking 7420 break. Leaving me 6 minutes to put up a respectable score, i scored 20 and thought of giving up. Mark the potted another 420 before letting me back on. I couldnt let another visitor score 10k against me so I started the impossible chase and came flying back with a 5840 break to be stopped a few minutes later by the dredded clunk! Excellent game Mark!! Look forward to the return game :)
The two highest lower div breaks of the season in one match! Wow

TJ, Chris Cox pointed out a slight error in your ranking table.. It was James Osborne that got the draw against Bill Harrison, not Chris Cox as you seem to have on there :)
C.Cox 13 for 8 and J.Osborne 13 for 11 I believe. :)
