Yet again the table cloth has been damaged again, this is not long after it was recovered after the last time the cloth got ripped. As of today the table will be covered and anyone who want to play on it will need to speak to a member of staff first, as they will be monitoring who is playing the table and be not misusing it.
It was very clear how it got damaged this time as a very noticeable mark on the where someone has decided to put much bottom on the ball it has left a thick blue mark where whoever done hit more of the D than the ball.
I am not saying this was a Bar billiards player, it could be anyone that wants to have a game on the table. It is very annoying that whoever has done this did not say anything about it.
Not something i want to do but if the table keeps getting damaged i will have no option but to take the table out of the pub. Kate from the pub has said she is going to go through the CCTV to see if anything can be seen.

Unfortunately someone has ripped the cloth on the table right under the D, I have been down to make a rapair to save having to take the top out to recover before the end of the season.
The repair is not perfect as there is a slight problem with putting the ball on the left side of the D, as this where most of the tear is. So please be careful when placing the ball on that side as will roll over, sorry but without recovering the table this is the best that can be done.
We would like to believe that it's was not a league player who did this, if it is might be worth you give up as to play a shot which means you hit the ball so hard with bottom. Must have missed the ball as when I lifted the cloth could see the cue mark on the slate.
I understand that accidents do happen but not to let the staff at the pub know is so wrong.

Firstly I would like to thank Michelle and Sammy for sort out a new venue for the weekend, also Nigel for sorting out the format and running he competition. Matt for assisting Nigel with making sure that it ran as smooth as possible(with the added bonus of him losing his voice). Kim for her Stella efforts to make everyone part with their money for the raffle. I found the hotel very nice and the staff very friendly, yes there may have been a few teething problems with moving to a new venue but that is something that can be looked at and soothed out before March when we are back down there.
On a personal note I would like to thank everyone helped to get the table off the van and into to hotel and those who were able to stay on to help pack the tables down and get them back upstairs and loaded on the van. Looking forward to March next year down there.
