Being a non smoker I must admit I am pleased with the ban. We played our match last night last night in a nice smoke free pub. Nice to get home and not stink of smoke! :)

Hi to everyone,
I have been in discussion with my good friend Lolly Lawman and we are thinking of undertaking another Cancer Challenge early on next year. This is only in the idea stage so I am letting you all know in plenty of time. I am just putting this on here so we can see how interested everyone would be in helping us out with such a worthy cause and to try an make this even better than it was last year (is that possible)?? ::)
For the people that don't know myself and 8 of my fellow Northants Bar Billiards friends undertook a charity event in the aid of Cancer Research. We travelled around 8 counties in one weekend playing Bar Billiards and collecting money on our way. We raised an unbelievable amount of over £5,000 for the charity and also made a lot of new friends on the way and hopefully raised the profile of Bar Billiards.
The timing was key last year and everything worked great as we turned up to play our last game in Northampton at 8.00pm. I am actually thinking of doing a slight twist on last years event and taking on a 9 counties challenge as it would be nice to get Bucks on board! I'm not sure if this will be achievable but I will have a good look at multimap and get back to everyone.
Any comments would be appreciated from you all and I hope everyone will support us in some way.
Thanks everyone.
Jase PS Sparky................Handcross is a must!!!!!!!! ;D

I agree Colemanator but I suppose we have got to live with the decision. It has been made! It's a tough job for Nige but I'm still not HP. I take it we will be having the usual trip to the driving range for the longest drive challenge etc?!! :)

Northants B wanted to play on the 24th September!! This was the issue, we all wanted to travel down together (A and B) teams to keep travel costs down and also for the team spirit. Northants B entered last year and would have played this year. When was it known about Kent B entering and why were we not informed in Northants? Northants B should have been in Division 2 as they entered last year!

Nigel, Northants B have not definetly pulled out yet. I will be bringing it up at the AGM on Thursday to see if we can get a team there. :)

We have a big problem in Northants now with only 9 teams in the league which comprises of 6 venues. Luckily, as you can see by the forum there is a group of us who love the game and try and keep the league going......................although I must say due to college commitments I am not devoting the time I should anymore! ???
