Its just a shame they look like a couple of geezers, otherwise would make great tv. Why cant we have a load of page 3 models competing in the athletics? Trampolening would be a good one to kick off with :P

Oh dear sounds like the toys got thrown out the pram. What would have happened if Chris went on to black peg and Dave beat him? Would the game still have been allowed to stand then? I agree Chris should get the points for the win though, has this ever happened before? Just interested.

Montreal 0 - 5 Horseshoes
M Barsby 1480 - 12200 KT S Burns 1440 - 12910 R Dewdney G Mechan 2770 - 10670 I Lelliott W Pryor 1890 - 9280 M Spier B Mechan 4310 - 8040 G Jukes
Although we got hammered it was a cracking night and played in the right spirit, with KT setting the precedent and letting us have a go when they had done enough.
I fear i may be on the recieving end of Nigel's woes tomoro night in the singles. Just proves that the new league format is improving alot of the lower division players though, by playing against better opposition each week.

Montreal 3 - 2 Stadium A
G Mechan 4940 - BP C Elliott M Barsby 1530 - 2110 A Messer B Mechan 2700 - 1780 S Wood D Robins 2290 - 1050 J Parsons W Pryor 2510 - 7140 M Pope
First win this year for the Mont!
Only bad point was learning one of the Stadium team no names mentioned Chris Elliott, decided to come in the night before the game and move the legs on the table adjusting the height. A few strong words were exchanged befefore the match. Would like to hear people's opinions on whether this is allowed or not????? We certainly wouldn't go in to another venue 24 hours before the match and try to change the table about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im still to win a game myself this season, the sooner my game picks up we will start winning games. The league format after playing 3 games seems like it is definately working though!
Great night enjoyed by all and im sure the Windmill lads and lassy would agree.

Nigel
Don't worry about anything barring trying to take points off the the marvelous Montreal at home. I think its great playing against better opposition and will only be a benefit in the long run. I think as the season goes on it will throw up a few suprises and the pressure is always on the higher team to succeed. Lets just see how it goes but im sure it will be fine. It was more soul destroying last season only playing against 4 other teams and then trying to go to new venues to play a singles match on a different table.
