Stadium 4 - 1 Montreal
K Austen 2830 - 3660 G Mechan S Noble 2450 - 860 T Hocking V Watts 3920 - 2470 M Barsby J Smith 7740 - 1270 D Robins C Banting 2280 - 1850 B Mechan
A good start by me but then it all went downhill quick, we should really have won games 3 and 5 but it wasn't to be. Well done to the Kendal on winning the league, the stadium said they couldn't be bothered to play there fixtures they have missed as they don't want to go up. So if they win there last game next week, the Montreal will have to settle for third.

Montreal 3 - 2 Duke of Wellington
M. Barsby 2890 - BP B. White G. Mechan 4860 - 680 D. Bartrum T. Hocking 1810 - 1650 C. Parsons S. Burns 1850 - 6170 B. Bartrum B. Mechan 490 - 2960 R. Chuter
The Montreal are not going down without a fight, after another close win at home.
Game 1. Brian started of well with a decent break and i took Mick 13 min to get the balls back but once done, took a comfortable lead with the bar going. Brian black pegged with the last shot.
Game 2. I missed my opening break but got the balls back and put a comfortable 2k on the board. Dave went on without threatening too much but eventually got the balls back and missed his first shot at the break. He then threw a ball down the table in frustration, i got the balls back and finished the game off. He apologised afterwards for his moment of madness so no hard feelings.
Game 3. Trev won his first game of the season to secure the win. The other bloke did black peg when scores were close and nearly caught him but trev sunk the 100 ball to win.
Game 4. I AM NEVER GIVING STEVE THE BREAK AGAIN AS HE IS RUBBISH. Only messing but he has been going on for ages how he wanted a break at home and couldn't get it at all.
Game 5. Roy started with 2k and Dad couldn't get the balls back at all. He was getting more and more frustrated but it just wasn't his night. He tried takin the black out on his last shot so no one would find out his score but sunk it in the 200. Sums up his whole game really.
Looks like this league may have more twists yet to see who wins the league. Stadium and Kendal are favourites but were hanging in there.

Nigel can you please take the Montreal score from here, as the b*stards that left the montreal last have thrown our team folder away.

Nigel,
How can a lower div player who has only won 2 games have 1 bonus point for against the break wins? Surely on that basis of 0.25 per win this would make 0.5??? For example K Austen has only won 2 games but has and extra 1 bonus point.
Cheers

Hello Nigel
You may want to look at the lea bonuses for the lower rankings. Looks like you've added 0.5 instead of 0.25.
Cheers

Low scoring evening overall but a great night as usual. Just a shame a key for the table isnt left in the pub on match nights to save holding up play for half an hour, when the pound gets jammed.

It really says alot when even the home players are suprised if they pot 2 balls off the break. I was a bit annoyed the footy wasn't on as no sky but relieved after watching the high lights, if you can call them that. Looks like second place could be wide open now with anyone of 3 teams in the race. We def have the hardest run in with 4 prem teams in a row but will give it a hell of a go.

Montreal 3 - 2 Stadium D ( mont all 5 breaks )
M Barsby 3180 - 3510 S Noble G Mechan 6380 - 1670 K Hurley S Burns 1910 - 2870 V Watts B Mechan 7130 - 1540 K Austen
No 5th player for the stadium so a win for the Mont but could easily have gone the other way at times.
The Mont are on a good run at the moment and the test will be in the coming weeks with all 4 prem teams to play and 3 of these at home.
Hotdogs, chicken and wedges to finish the night, the highlights of the Chelsea and a game of doubles thrown in for good measure.
Great night all round ;D Thanks to the Stadium and hope they can find a couple of players to carry on next season.

Will we be looking at trying to rob as many raffle prizes from various companies again Nige?

Thanks Tony and Nige, just a shame we couldn't have started the season in the same way and made a fight of the league. Miracles can happen though so were not giving in just yet.
On another note does anyone know the situation with Stadium D? Are they still going and if not what happens?

Nige
Although my team hasn't won many games this year it has without doubt improved every player in my teams ability. Without playing agaist better players how do you expect to improve. For instance Bob has hit 9k + twice this year and i don't think he scored over 5k last year. People will complain what ever way it is structured, but i believe the new format will only improve players in the Brighton league in general. If teams are complaining some games are too easy they could always enter more comps and get stronger opposition that way.

Montreal 3 - 2 Duke of Wellie B
M Barsby 1490 - 2960 N Simmonds........... Micky lost over 4000 in a game he should have won
G Mechan 3140 - 1820 G Frizzell ....... Couple of little breaks saw me through
S Burns B/P - 2930 M Senior ....... Steve was around 1000 behind and then got the break back to score nearly 3000 only to white peg and then black peg with the last ball.
B Mechan 9590 - 2160 J Perrin .......... Bob made 3 breaks of 3k which saw him win. Good score.
D Robins 1670 - 8060 T Scotney ....... DJ was going well up until the white rolled forward as he was striking it and then Nick got the break back and looked very comfortable.

Montreal 3 - 2 Kendal
I won the toss and elected 1,3,5.

Loads of banter between the 2 teams as usual. No food and people from the other bar kept going outside wanting to kill each other.
Well done team especially Micky to clinch the important game. Bring on the Semis.

Looks like Lloydy is flying, Nige would it be possible to update the rankings when you get all the scores through when you get some free time. Thanks Gaz.
