Hi ALL
The Guernsey boys (mostly Breakaways) are looking for Golf Courses in Weymouth. We are looking at 15th June for a couple of days and any tips suggestions for good courses as well as good prices.
Also are there any pubs with Bar Billiard tables in the area.
Thanks

Can't advise on the golf, but according to the latest information available to us there are loads of pubs in Weymouth, but only two with bar billiards tables, both non-league: 1. The Nothe Tavern www.knowhere.co.uk/Weymouth/Dorset/South-West-England/info/pubs2. The New Inn (Littlemoor) www.theterras.co.uk/website/the%20town/weymouth%20pub%20guide.htmUnfortunately Dorset is just outside the sphere of influence of b-b's in England - apart from the annual Bournemouth event, when tables are brought in especially (you won't see them for the rest of the year). We can't even say for definite that the above two tables still exist, as we rely on witness reports, and no-one on here has claimed to have visited them yet !

Golf Courses.....
Weymouth GC isn't a bad track (it's been a while since I played it) its fairly short but typically interesting James Braid designed course.
Personally if I was down that way I would try and get onto Lyme Regis GC, a bit of a drive from weymouth, but a lovely links course.
Hope this helps!!!

The Sea Life Centre at Lodmoor Country Park in Weymouth has a great 18-hole Adventure Golf course. I'm told the Pitch & Putt there is very good.
Just over the road is Greenhill Gardens and there is a cracking 18-hole Putting Course there. Very testing and with some great views of the Jurassic Coast.
