Just to clarify for those who weren't already aware, and for those who like to plan their bar billiards calendar a year in advance.........
Kent are staging TWO National events in 2013.
The Kent Classic (Open) will still take place around the normal time (Sun 7th July), but has been switched for the Medway (City) League's jubilee year to the Suburban Club, Chatham.
For those who are used to playing at the 6-in-1 Club in Tonbridge on superbly-set-up tables there is the 1st British National Off-the-Spot - as per the title header - on Sunday 19th May 2013.
A link to the entry form, and a list of confirmed entries so far - not many ! - can be found earlier on this thread.

I would encourage everyone to do all they can to spread the word about this event. It would be such a shame if it didn't get off the ground, and I for one have long been a fan of "off the spot". So please do all you can guys.
I'll personally be nagging Mr Milliard and Mr Mariner all tomorrow night until I beat them into submission.

I would also have loved to have played in this but unfortunately Big Brother arranged it on the same day as the end of the Premier League season and I'll be at Upton Park.

With the five unpaid entries that want to enter on here that means we now have only 46 entries, which is 18 short of what's needed with only 5 days to go to the revised closing date!
Come on, you know you want to enter :-/ so please get your entries in to Pete asap, so he hasn't waisted all his time and effort in getting this AEBBA tournament off the ground. 8-)

With 20 entries from Sussex and 10 from Oxon, there don't appear to be too many from the other counties, and a surprisingly poor yield from the county running it (it has to be said). :-/
