Literally just emailed the apartments we stay at for any info. just read on itv.com (not sure how reliable this is)that from Thursday anyone arriving from anywhere will have to self isolate for 14 days.
With only 6 weeks to go Trying to decide whether to pay the balance for our accommodation which is due by Friday.

Flight bookings after 19th April Aurigny confirm that we are operating as usual and have not been instructed/advised to stop operations to any of our destinations. As such normal terms and conditions continue to apply on all tickets, irrespective of the reason for cancellation or change. (Government advice, onward flight cancellation, underlying health issues, holiday cancellation etc.)
Passengers are kindly requested to make their changes/cancellations via the Aurigny website or their travel booker. Our small Reservations/Customer services team are not able to make exceptions and we respectfully request that you do not call or email to request one as our staff are currently receiving unprecedented call levels. Also looks like will lose flight money also unless this is updated or stop flights due to lack of demand etc.

Hi All
We are in a difficult situation as you will see there are conflicting statements. The Government will be enforcing a 14 day isolation from 1 min past midnight on Thursday for all those travelling to the island. This would suggest that unless you want a 2 week holiday, in a room on your own? Yet the Travel providers are only allowing changes up to the middle of April. What does this mean to any insurance claim's. We do not know. Tom is speaking with the Hotel this week for guidance on where we all stand.
We will come back to you with a further update as soon as possible.

We will come back to you with a further update as soon as possible. Yes I note the compulsory self isolation for ALL visitors has appeared overnight. Problem is there is no time frame associated and until there is the Guernsey lads will have difficulty in making a decision. A lot more rides on this financially for everyone than leagues and opens at home. Aurigny are only offering cancellation up until mid April. I sympathise with the Guernsey League in that cancellation at this stage would have serious financial implications on flights and hotel bookings, so we should be patient on this one and wait for the lads to be in a more knowledgeable position to advise us.

Further to this Aurigny are obviously inundated and overwhelmed with inquiries re bookings throughout the coming year, not just until mid. April. Like the holiday company providers they are dealing with these many issues and questions in certain time frames to make them manageable. Local government departments are meeting daily as in UK and issuing press releases. We will keep you all up to date with any further information. As Oge has said, Tom Oliver is meeting with the Hotel venue today and expect a status statement very soon. Keep Safe. Norman

Terrible news for everyone concerned.
Thanks for making this difficult decision early.
Just been looking at the Aurigny website. They are swamped with flight amendments/cancellations up until 19th April at the moment but will move on to the next batch when these are dealt with. It does not say whether further concessionary cancellations will be offered. At worst, those with 'smart' bookings can transfer their flights to a later date (next year?) free of charge.

Not sure would be comfortable rebooking for next year with airline. Unfortunately alot of airlines will go to the wall. If offer a refund, think will have to take it for now.

Liverpool may not get their hands on the Premier league trophy. But David Ingram gets to keep the Guernsey Open trophy for another year.....

We have had word from the hotel that they will be providing refunds. If you booked with the Rocquettes, please phone them and say you are cancelling due to the cancelled bar billiards event.

Morning all, hope you are all staying safe and well. I have just been told that our booking at the Abbey Court is non-refundable (as per the booking conditions). As an act of good faith the owner (spoke with him directly) has agreed that the booking can be carried forward to use in 2021. The Official response stated it had to be used this year. As a result, can the organisers confirm the dates for 2021 as soon as. I appreciate there is a lot of other problems and 2021 is a long way off.

I have just seen a message on Aurigny's Facebook page and I quote. 'Thank you for your patience. We are sorry that refunds and vouchers may take up to 3 months to process due to extraordinary circumstances.'

Have just cancelled flights and if they give credit voucher can use more than a year in advance so covers next year. Have asked for a refund in the email but if a credit voucher, not the end of the world.

The same rules apply for anyone going by ferry.
Following PacMan's help thus: ......I sent a letter to Travelsmith who arranged our holiday package explaining the position and requesting cancellation and refund.
Heard back from them today, confirming that Les Rocquettes have arranged refund in full. As regards the sailings, Condor Ferries have not cancelled them (despite the threat to us of 14 days' quarantine) yet so I was given the option of waiting a month and getting re-imbursement which may be in the form of a credit note - or cancelling now, obtaining refund today, but taking a hit in the form of a cancellation fee.
In these times of uncertainty I chose the latter.

Ours cancelled without problem says a refund voucher will be emailed in a few days. They may refund subsequently.
As my flight was cancelled they should refund.
