The church in Kennington is called St Swithuns and the family have asked for family flowers only, but donations are welcome and can be made to Cancer Research UK c/o Co-operative Funeralcare, 2 Hendred Street, Oxford OX4 2ED.

Unable to be there today, but my thoughts go out to family and friends. Will have my own silence at the appropriate time, and a silent prayer for a great bloke.

I'm glad the funeral was well supported.
I wanted to be there and join in paying tribute to such a wonderful guy, but it was just too far to go.
R.I.P. Ray.

Thanks for letting us all know how things went KT, and our thoughts will be with his family all weekend during the Sussex masters and Open. RIP Ray, sadly missed.

I have to agree, it was a tremendous show of affection for our friend Ray, with around 400 people paying their last respects, with about half of those being Bar Billiard friends.
I’m sure Ray would have been very touched by the show of admiration.
It was a lovely service, but obviously very emotional, especially when the reverend went through Ray’s life, it was also lovely to see a picture of Ray smiling and looking well on the front cover of the service sheet. This is how I want to remember him.
We were talking to Ray’s sister (Teresa), what a lovely sweet lady she is, I can see why Ray thought the world of his Mum & Family.
At the Tandem I also had three pints of Ray’s favourite drink, lager, even though I am a smooth beer drinker.
R.I.P Ray.
We will never forget you.
Keith (your Bar Billiards playing partner)

I to offer my thanks to those who have taken the time to report on a occasion. I have posted a photograph on Facebook, ( where there is a tribute to Ray ), the Photo I took at the Grand prix last year which has the top 16 players of the year. Ray is the only one that is pointed out, although I am sure that those of you who look at it will know who you are. Dave May

Rays Mum & Family would like to express their heart felt thanks to everyone who attended Rays funeral.
It was a wonderful tribute to him.
We can't thank everyone personally, but please accept this as a personal acknowledgment for the many cards and donations received for Cancer UK.
Thanks also for the love and support shown to us and Ray during his stay in hospital.
£770 was collected in the church on the day, with the final total donated in excess of £2000.
From, Jackie (Rays Mum) & Family.

Wonderful, and I think that may not include a collection made by Dave Barnes at Eynsham Finals Night recently. It was the first time that I had left my cue at home for a finals night. I had been due to play Ray in two singles finals and was pleased that the trophies were donated to the lasting memory of such a great mate.

I totally agree with Pete it was a really nice gesture shown by the Eynsham League at the recent finals night which I attended. I don't know if Milko's total includes this amount but there was several large notes in there so it should be a sizeable total as well.
I think a lot of people will want those trophies next year now they have that extra special meaning to them.
