I spoke to Ray yesterday and found him very hopeful and positive. He may be allowed out later this week. He sounds a bit weak but likes to have a chat on his mobile if anyone else wants to ring him. It is on silent so text him first to make sure he is not having a kip.

Had a text conversation with Ray last night. He is still in hospital and getting very fed up with himself, waiting for results of tests. Trying to get to talk to him later today, if possible.

I am distraught with the latest news about Ray. When will the money being poured into research finally pay dividends, and when will this evil disease start confining itself to the nasty ba$tards of this world like Josef Fritzl. They are the ones who totally deserve it, not the really nice guys of this world.
Sorry if this offends anybody, but it is how I feel.
We are all with you Ray, and I hope to visit you sometime this week.

I have set up a members only board for news on Ray.
It is highly inadvisable to potentially compromise his home security by publicizing whether he is hospitalized or not to the general public. He would not be the first of my friends to have his house decimated because the wrong people found out he was in hospital.
We are all thinking of and praying for good news on Ray.

I spoke to Ray last night and he does sound a bit stronger than last week, but he says that could be something to do with the fact that he was not so tired after having loads of visitors on the day we last spoke. He loves visitors of course, but it does make him tired. He does not yet know when he will be home. Incidentally, Ray does NOT live alone.

Incidentally, Ray does NOT live alone. Nor does my friend John, Thieves are capable of reading hospital visiting hours as well as forums. His wife returned from a hospital visit to find the house wrecked and many of their personal possessions gone. Fortunately, as she was alone, so had the thieves. Thanks for the update on Ray's condition. Sav.

I have just heard that Ray came out of hospital yesterday for a couple of hours to play one of his outstanding Wallingford matches and he won.
What a fighter and what a guy. :o :)
I think he may have another one tonight, if they let him. :o

I very much doubt we will be playing our pairs as planned tonight as last night took a lot out of him.

Is was very reassuring to pop in to see Ray after the County Singles play-off yesterday. He looks as if he has plenty of home comforts, but longs to get home as soon as he can. And he gets a lot more calls on his mobile than I do, but then that is not too much of a surprise.
Not eating very much but plenty of interest in bar billiards, getting regular hourly reports from the Portcullis Club.
Good luck Ray!

That is news indeed. :'( :( A thoroughly nice guy, always willing to help anybody and a true gentleman. I'm sure that I speak on behalf of everybody down here in Sussex when I say that he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Our thoughts go to all of his family and friends at this time.

How sad :'(
Although Ray looked so poorly last time we saw him, you always hope that a little miracle would come along, that they would be able to help him get better.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
Hayley and Kevin.
