Here are a few questions on the County Championships that will be answered in the next BBQ:
Which team have beaten Sussex 9 times out of 9 since inception of the BBQ in 1991?
Which team have been promoted three times since the inception of the BBQ in 1991, but have never survived in the top flight?
Which team have beaten Bucks for the first time since the inception of the BBQ in 1991?
Which two teams managed simultaneous unexpected wins in Div 2?
Which team beat Hampshire for the first time in 15 years?
Which team managed to get into the top two of the Second Division for the first time in history?
These questions and many, many more will be answered in BBQ 63, now in production......

Ok Pete, I'll try a few guesses as my experience at this level is comparatively recent.
1. Berkshire 2. Northants 3. Hampshire 4. Kent B (over Surrey) and Cambs (over Bucks from 1-3 down) 5. Cambs 6. Cambs
One poser from me in return :
Q) Which team was the only one (apart from Oxon who managed it three times out of four) to aggregate over 50,000 points in a match in last Sunday's County Championships ?

guess there isn't much point of a BBQ quiz, Tommo is the man for info ;)

It wasn't supposed to be a quiz. It was just a bit of a tease, that's all, to get the temperature rising so that Lorin can get excited all over again. He likes that! But, although Clive has given some of the answers, he certainly is not 100% correct.

Well I know we (Sussex) have not beaten Oxon in 9 attempts.

My answer to Q1) obviously wrong then (see Nigel's). May have got Q3) wrong too - if not Hants, could be Surrey.
Come on, Pete, don't leave us hanging......... ;)

But would that not make me even higher?!! :D There is not much higher than Lincolnshire! Finalised about 36 pages of the eagerly awaited No. 63 over the weekend. Just a bit more to do on Saturday and then it will be just next Sunday's two events to assess. I have taken the day off work next Monday, hoping to finish it all off to alleviate Lorin's false (and very worrying) excitement. I would therefore hope that everyone helps me to get all the stats down quickly on Sunday and I could then stay up all night to do what has to be done. The Alternative Rules will be included in 64. That way, I can stay reigning champion a little longer. It will then be down to see if Paul can get it all copied and issued before you all fly off to the green and pleasant land which is Jersey. Otherwise, how on earth will you survive on not knowing anything about the changes in the ranking system? .......and not knowing who I am going to have a go at in this issue?

This edition will also now include an update of the Jersey league after the first few weeks of their new season. It may also include a list of possible practice tables for you all to tone your skills. It does, however, make it even more important that we get it issued in time for you to see before you set sail. Or isn't Chris Newson going this year?

I don't mind repeating myself for someone as gorgeous as you Elsie. (BTW what happened yesterday, I thought you were going to make a special appearance for Northants)
I have today off work JUST to try to finish it off. I shall be going at it "hammer and tongs", and then, once Peggy has gone to work ;D :P :'(, probably going to concentrate on trying to finish off the long-awaited BBQ 63.
Copying and posting should take 10-14 days, so look out for it via snail-mail just before Jersey. But, if you live in the Lancing area, you may to wait an extra few days, as you know what those postmen as like.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen,
and Clive and Elsie,
Your patient wait is almost over.
After a shift of over 16 hours at my desk from 6.30 yesterday morning till nearly 11.00 last night, give or take a couple of 10 minute breaks for sustenance and 1 or 2 "natural breaks", the BBQ 63 is finished.
There were a few naughty words spoken on the way, which caused me to have to reach for my rosary beads, but eventually it was done so that you should all get it through the post before Jersey.
It will be nice to get back to work for a rest today (Clive and Mark will know what I mean). Peggy has a day off today so I didn't have to get up till 7.00.
My cornflakes will taste sweet today (just like Frosties).
This will be the 2nd biggest ever issue. Just 56 pages of news, (my) views, and statistics, with a couple of new features.
Every subscriber is now listed in the rankings, so, if you are not in the top 100, never fear, you are listed separately.
There is also a very helpful feature from Sean Le Beuvant which will help you find your practice tables in Jersey.
How's that for a service, and still only £2 per issue.
And, don't tell Johnny that he gained a ranking point last week. SSHHHH!

/Sav wonders if he will remember complimenting PF when he wakes up ;D

I have it on excellent authority that Paul has already finished the copying......
must be as busy at work as "some others I could mention".
Anyway, they will all be posted as Paul does not play in the Alternative (silly) Rules comp.
I may have a spare copy on Sunday if any subscriber hasn't received theirs yet and wants to see it.
